Weekly Game Update

We played at Slow for most of the game with 11 players. We played from January 13 1137 to April 11 1144.

The players this session:
  • KoM - King of Norway
  • Sterkarm - King of Poland
  • Lurken - King of Castille
  • Capitan - King of Hungary
  • Traveler - King of Naples
  • Blackeye - King of Byzantium
  • Workgroup - King of England
  • Lotus Lo - King of Jerusalem
  • Prime - Duke of Flanders
  • Dominus - Duke of Brandenburg
  • Duuk - Duke of Bavaria

We had 3-4 game stops. I’ll list the causes for each stop:
  • Prime crashed after taking the title King Of North Africa
  • WG dropped not sure why
  • Lotus dropped, not sure why
  • There might have been another not sure

A lot of fighting, I mean a lot. Please post those AARs. Capitan I do hope you reconsider, you are a valued player.

Posted in the AAR thread.

Did you guys play much after I left? I hope not, because if Bavaria is revassalized to Germany I'll be upset.

take a look for yourself, i posted the save :) we played i think 1-1.5 hours after you left.

Phillip of England married his niece!

Bwahahahaha!

I have now given it a night's sleep and I think I will stand by my decision. It has been great fun for most part playing with you but the game is not what I thought it would be. Some people are not who I would like to play with. All in all I am not finding it reason enough to give up all my sunday afternoon and evening.

Tips for the continuation
* Maybe consider what will be left of non-player states when you get to EU2 (remember we have played less than a 100 years up until now)
* Be more understanding for people with trouble (not really talking about me), both ingame and computerwise. No need for taunting as it really does not help anyone.

Anyway, I think I will try and get into a game of Vicky or even start my own CK-campaign.

Trav, thanks for having me on :)

Very sorry to see you go, Capitan. Apart from anything else, you'll leave a really huge hole in the balance of power in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. But if your mind is made up, it's made up. :(

Not that I am going to miss you Capitan, for I am going to miss my Swedish buddy in this game.
We might need either a new player to fill up the gap or perheps or perheps relocate one of the other players.
The good point about this dropout is that tencions will lessen now in Central Europe.

Oh CAPITAN it sucks to see you go, when toss off kids were laying into me about my kingdom collapsing, you were telling them to get off! :( :( :(

Respect and understand your decision, still wish you wouldn't go however, hope to see you around somewhere.

Perhaps see if Workgroup wants to move to Hungary? The poor guy is being battered (though he's managed to keep up well) in an AI-badboy death spiral. (You'll note that I've posted several suggestions to fix it so that isn't an issue in the future.)

That way the game can remain enjoyable for WG who has been a great sport about poor England and help us so Sterk doesn't just claim victory now. :D

He managed to do well because this toss off kid slew all rebellious vassals he had and bribed Norway to stop them from invading.

I was also under the impression that the ability to take a jest is a sign of maturity...

Wasn't actually referring to you(got some guilt?;)) - wouldn't have needed those men with the ones from France I had coming. ;(

EDIT: All that aside, thanks RP.

I dunno, an England is more important IMO - especially if EU2 ever rolls around. I'd feel pretty guilty quitting on my nation simply because It's hit the fan as well, current BB is a total killer though.

Invade England, me? Never! Just York. And come on, I have several excellent reasons for invading York :

1. It's a Viking city, it even has danish culture.
2. I have a claim, which indeed predates the current English troubles.
3. Its ruler has my RL first name.
4. It is already in Norwegian blue. And before anyone asks, yes, I shall certainly get around to Bavaria in good time. That's my colour, curse it! ;)

Stand by your choice....actually the eventual player I thought of was the Brandenburg player.

Question: Any of you guys running the On-Demand version of CK? Please respond as apparently On-Demand has some issues at the moment. Actually, respond w/a no if you dont have it.

Thanks :)
