hola senors. I have moved and am now situated. Unfortunatly this time slot doesn't work for me as I know actually have a job and that gets in the way ;)

I hope to play a Vicky game as a sub/temp untill the equinox. Once that happens I'll be back on NYC time and then might be able to play.
 
Hey Lotus - that would be cool.

At this moment I only seem to have heretics in both Brugge and Gent. As I just had some of the "give in to demands" events. Income in most of demesne dropped below 20 due to all revolts (they were 30+), allthough that seems to come back in time. I have had the negative events in all my provinces except Ille de France.

I just checked and King of Burgundy costs 'only' costs 5375 prestige to grab - so with a long lived king I might be able to claim that, allthough it will make for some boring play-sessions. Knowing my luck the bugger will probablly die with 5300 prestige.

I am not really in favour of editting myself, but the situation is a bit frustrating atm.

Also with around 190k manpower I'd like to think that crushing me won't be that easy.
 
france will soon be in a position where all border provinces will be human controlled. I Am not too happy with the italiancs rapid expansion i must say.

Things are going ok considering my feeble king. 0 intrege is the main cause of my poor income but i have nice treasury and ok manpower now. Things are well under control.

You're right, RP; I was overestimating my own strength based on Sterk's hyperbole. You also have the advantage of a much more concentrated nation; to mobilise my full 240k, I'd have to pull in troops from as far afield as Finland, with the attendant attrition and costs. On the other hand, France doesn't like you. :)
 
Nah... RP has done a good job mobilizing France against me, which is odd, since I am the least expansionistic nation here besides Castille... :eek:
 
Well both France and me prefer Bretagne and Normandy to be French. We agreed on the Seine as border and I gave up some provinces south of it, after which we allied.

Hopefully the beginning of a long and fruitfull relationship.

edit : On PvP wars I'd like to limit the stealing of vassals - The Duke of Friesland for example has a demesne from 1 and 5 or so vassals (most of The Netherlands). Claiming the Duke title, quickly sieging the province and 100% peacing the ai gives a lot of gain for minimal BB loss. And if its done it in a surprise attack there is no way you can get a big enough army raised in time to break the siege.

I would like to see a situation where we ignore vassals of players in wars. In a way that you make peace deals always with the player and never with his AI vassals. At the moment the players have decided on peace you can make it with his vassals too. Basicly the Vicky peace model.

I agree that you shouldn't make peace with the vassals until you've agreed to peace with the overlord, at least not if you're going to take land - if you're just getting gold, or the vassal to renounce his claims on your titles, I think that should be allowed.

Now, what do people think of this patch business? I vote in favour of installing it, it seems to have some nice fixes now that the crashbug is gone.
 
Well, I like the new patch and think we should use it (although I think some of the trait changes are stupid, making valorous and other traits bad instead of what they should be, good).
 
As long as they don't increase CTD's or have gamebreaking bugs in it, I am always in favour of the latest patch - if only to honour the work that went in to them.
 
we played with the new patch last night and it was very stable. Doesnt seem to be much new good stuff in there though. Quite disapointing actually...

I don't mind trying the new patch with the mini-fix. I'll put the last save off in another folder just incase we have to reload and start back with a pre patch save. Before I patch I would like a consensus. So far we have:

  • KoM - yes
  • Sterk - yes
  • Prime - maybe
  • cheech - yes
  • Trav - yes

cheech, as far as Italian expansion, it seems I can't please anyone. For the longest time I've been chided about not expanding fast enough. I only want a healthy relationship with France and have championed your cause, as well as supported you from the start.

Regarding the beta thing, I will abstain. It is not up to me, as I will not play on sunday. But I hope you guys will hav fun.

Oh...BTW it seems that things have fudged up bigtime on sundays. Not only I am away tomorrow and playing my soccer game against Djurgården (number 1 in the highest soccerdivision in Sweden, we are sooooo screwed...).

It seems that I will be way next sunday aswell. Due to schoolbuisness. I am sorry. Oh...anyone up to be sub for me? Pretty please?
 
Well, with at least 7 voting yes, we have a majority for using the latest Beta patch.

And holy friggin cow, Blackeye made his first post. I do take some small measure of credit as I did have to call him and threaten to torture his cat.

Oh Prime, Blackeye and I are helping my brother move today, so we wont be able to play CIV. Gahh. Dang family messen up game time.
