To reduce the amount of arguments and general nastiness toward each other I have decided that this is now the only thread that complaints about the game in general will be allowed.
Specific issues can be discussed in threads related to that game play issue, but general complaints about the state of release, or management issues or anything like that needs to be posted only in this thread.

wth is this not a sticky??? wake up!

There is a sticky with a link to this thread, But in my limited experience a lot of people ignore sticky threads, So a sticky thread with a link to this thread and this thread itself floating gets it maximum exposure.
That was my dream anyway, I will let you know how it works out when I "wake up!" :)

Hey just wanted to say that yes we know the registration page leaves a lot to be desired It is currently being rewritten from scratch.
I apologize for any difficulties you encountered and am glad you were able to sort it out.

You know maybe im starting to lose my patience....

Someone posted a very respectful very PG rated concern of the game in the main forum
This is the reply from Castellon an admin:

"People we have that bright and shiny meta thread for these comments, as well as a sticky thread to point you that way.
See how easy it is to miss things.
*Closed "

You want to start pulling sarcastic **** on someone who legitimately posted a very PG rated not even complaint or rant just a concern... ( not even specifically about Sots)

Not sarcastic just proving my point from earlier.
And the rule is very clear, post complaints PG or otherwise in this thread or don't post them.
Also I think I was very reasonable in that I did not even issue him an Infraction or warning, simply closed his thread and referred people here.
Also note I did not issue you an infraction for breaking rule #2..
But I will to the next one that does.
Honestly I know some people will complain about ANY moderation, but I have gone way out of my way to provide extra slack and understanding in this part of the board, but it is counter to the good order in the rest of the board if I continue it so I will be enforcing rules more and more.

And even though there is no right to free speech on this board, you will note that I have not Censored any comments, and only one one person has been banned as a result of action in this part of the board (Not because of complaints he had).

If you're going to make a meta thread you better stick it before this one get buried right?

Why you obviously just proved that sticky threads are missed since there is a sticky that links to this thread.

My policy is to not comment about disciplinary measures since you are not here for that, but I think I need to state in this instance so no one get the wrong impression.
Mr Final Germany will be taking a short vacation not because of complaints but because he has shown repeatedly that he cannot obey rule #2.
And for the record I could delete any post or thread I was trying to "Hide" So giving this thread a big Meta tag title and also posting a link to it in a sticky thread would be a pretty bad way to be a censor.
The Sticky thread that outlines the policy for complaints also clearly states that complaints about individual issues are allowed in those threads.

Note: If you feel you need to comment on this action make sure you follow rule#2 and PM me, there by not clutter up this thread further with this issue, My apologies for the interruption.

There are a couple of threads on that very topic you may find them helpful in making your decision.

Wate is this thread here, just so they can ignor it ?

Not ignoring it.
General complaints are gathered here so that all other threads do not get derailed it the same thread.
It also centralizes a place for us to gather feedback so That we can improve in the future releases.
If we wanted to ignore complaints, why would it be any harder to do if we allowed 100 smaller threads, if anything it would be easier to ignore a whole bunch of little threads that die out and fade to back pages. I just love how no matter what you do on the internet someone will come up with a wacky conspiracy theory on it. :)

Not quite a conspiracy, just a line of thought.
If anything I am only pointing out the fact that you made it mandatory to only post here if you frustrated with an issue. Which might not give a full representation on how many people there are that have an "issue" with
one of your products.

On a side not

"A conspiracy theory explains an event as being the result of an alleged plot by a covert group or organization or, more broadly, the idea that important political, social or economic events are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the general public."

So, by the definition of this word you can see I was not conspiring due to the nature of not only how you saw the information but also the fact that I was making a statement. As the Paradox Forum Manager might i sugest that you use wikipedia befor you post words that you do fully understand. (And if English is not your native language, then I would recommend that hire someone that is from the UK or US)

Lol why do I bother and try, eternal optimist I guess. :)

1) Unlike you (at least based on your IP) I am a native English speaker from an English speaking nation.
2) Wikipedia, really, you are using Wikipedia as proof in a debate. :p
3) You are both misreading the definition and my use of it.
4) Nowhere does it say you cannot post complaints about specific issues you are "frustrated" with, in fact you will find many such threads active. The only complaints that need to go in this thread is if you have general complaints about the game as a whole, or issues related to the state of release.
5) If you chose the quote option it makes your post easier to read as it is clearer.
6) Welcome to the forum, too bad I had to first encounter you in a complaints thread, hopefully things get better from here.

Personal attacks are not alowed on this board, in any thread.

So, how are those "at least 2 or 3 updates a week" working out?

Hello out of context quote! You look lonely without your context though, let me help: "This plan means that you folks can expect at least 2 or 3 updates a week over the next month". That looks better! Now we can see that the 2-3 updates a week only applied to the first month after release, so it's not strange at all that they've switched to a weekly patch and your post was pretty misleading. I'm sure you didn't mean that though.

Lets get a few things straight.
1)Name calling to complain about someone else name calling is kind of pointless.
Mecron has not called anyone names on this forum, so I do not want to see complaints about it here.
What he does on his board is his business.
2) A member calling another member or Staff a "troll" will be considered a personal attack, that is not your place or determination to make.
If you are concerned about a post you PM me to review it.

I understand some people are upset, I get it. But being an belligerent on he internet about it does not help anyone.

I fixed that for you so you would not have to try to troll me about "context".

You mean over the next month (November 2012) when the game was supposed to be what it should have been at release? How did that work out since you suddenly care so much about context and all?

What does the part you bolded have to do with the context? You post "So, how are those "at least 2 or 3 updates a week" working out?", if you meant that as anything other than a snipe at Kerb for no longer doing 2-3 updates a week, please explain what you meant. Without the context that they only said they would do this for the first month it looks like a failing on their part to deliver the updates they promised, with context it's clear you're either purposely trying to mislead people or you just like to post random quotes. Which is it?

Also the OP in the thread I linked has not been edited, if it had been there would be an "edited by X at <date>" line.

Again, how is that relevant? Your post was "So, how are those "at least 2 or 3 updates a week" working out?". Read it again. Do you mention anything about the game being in X state by a certain date? No. Sure you can say the game is not in whatever state you want if you like, but the post by you that I replied to did not say anything about that, so don't try to move the goalposts mid-match.

I do like your idea that I am trying to "troll" you by taking a quote out of context while linking you to the source in the same post, though. That make a lot of sense!

This thread is for complaints about the game. If you have them, free free to post away, but what it is not for is random sniping at the Kerb team using false statements or out of context quotes, do not do so again. In fact, since you have already asked for and received your refund:
I took them a couple of weeks after they sent mine, so I am not sure I would concede defeat. I did ask for an update a few weeks after no response and then everything got done, so I suspect a few of these have slipped through the proverbial cracks. Update your zendesk ticket and ask about it. Worst thing that could happen is that they may call you a jerk.
I am not sure why you are still posting here except to troll people, and since there's been at least one patch since you got your refund you cannot even comment on the current state of the game.

It's still "to".

You are lucky it is the complaints thread. So you are on topic. :D

Admin spin double speak explanation:
You see there is the rare use of "Too", that it is used to denote the combination of the the other two forms of "to"s, if you get my meaning.
You see I was telling him as well so number "Two" and what I was telling him the verb "to"
When using a "to" to denote both "to" and "Two" you use "too".
Pretty advanced grammar I hope everyone followed.

Was just about to say this myself. In fact, in the latest PC Gamer mag there is an interview with the Magicka developers who didn't realise the game was being released and it essentially didn't work untill they managed to get the 1st patch out. How do you not know when your game is being released?

Any how, the more reviews I read from reputable sources, the more it becomes clear that even if the game worked 100%, the UI prevents you having any fun at all. If only they had realised that the slick UI they had really didn't need to be changed at all. Sure, add a few extra bits like having multiple planets around each star etc and update the graphics engine and I think most people would have been happy with that.

You do realize that Magicka is the biggest selling game in Paradox history right.

So the policy of don't care if the game works or not release it anyway, we'll get round to finishing it later seems to be a profitable one.

I think we know that releases need to be improved, but it takes time as policies to ensure better releases need to be in place from the start of development (Which is sometimes years before release).
We took it to heart for our internal titles after HOI3, I think objectively every release since has been a steady improvement, and CK2 looks to be the smoothest release yet.

We are learning lessons with our external partners as well, and have hired more QA producers, so I think you will begin to see steady progress in this area as well.
We are listening, we do get it, we will try and do better.
