2013 is a possibility but we have a long way still to go and then we have to push it through testing which alone will be 1-2 months

if it is out in 2013 expect december time
Could you maybe release the Summer Islands before the rest so we could have something to play with before the Essos expansion?

I think it would be awesome if the Others/White Walkers existed in this - beyond just the occasional mention in events - and they could have, say, a 10% chance of appearing in the Lands Of Always Winter during a winter with a constant and similar invasion CB to the Ironborn... That'd rock :)

Just as a suggestion I believe that when you add in the option to proclaim yourself king of westeros that it should have flavorful titles i.e. if my primary title was King of the Iron Isles and I proclaim the kingdom of westeros it could be called something like the seastone chair instead of the generic Iron Throne, just a suggestion Great mod by the way

the iron throne is only when aegon invades otherwise it is called westeros

I'm playing this mod for the first time and while I'm intrigued by what is going on, I must say that as Lord Paramount, there isn't much to do except wait around for an event to happen. Maybe I'm missing something or maybe I should have played a lower lord? I mean, I can fabricate claims which takes forever, I can plot to kill people, but I'm at a bit of a loss. I don't have any titles except those stacked upon my keep so I can't even do the trick of inviting someone with a claim to court and giving them a lower title then going to war for their higher title.

Perhaps my problem is that I've chosen the Starks and they're rather boring to role play. I should have chosen a Lannister or Martell if I wanted intrigue I guess.

It sort of depends when you start as well. Something I enjoyed was playing as Lord Tully in 'The War of Conquest Scenario' and working my way out of the Iron Islands and into the LP of the Riverlands. I know what you mean though playing as the Starks could be quite empty in some of the scenarios but still a great mod.

Well, my favorite pasttime for LP is journeying through countryside, visiting every chamber on the way ;)

Anyways, one of my favourite position to play are Iron Islands. Raiding never gets old!

Well, I just married Robb Stark to Daenerys so uh... that spiced things up a bit. After the ensuing wars when Robert came to capture her, my heir is now married to the Queen of the Iron Throne, which is weird because I won't be the Emperor when Ned dies until Robb dies too (if I make it that long! Good god the plots!).

Of course, half of Westeros is addicted to moon tea which will only end up clogging up the interface. Playing as Maegor the Cruel, I bedded some fifty women with favourable traits throughout the Realm, got twelve pregnant (including the High Septoness ... twice.) and ended up with three living children.
What event is that?

Is this mod currently compatible with the most recent expansion CK2: The Old Gods?

Yes.

I like to have an alternative timeline roleplay with the Starks sometimes. They may be an honourable family by reputation, but there must've been at least one member in that long, extensive family tree who was a bit crazy. I like to mess with that and have Torrhen proclaim the Kingdom of Westeros, unfairly execute every Targaryen and become a true tyrannical lunatic. :D

Huh.

Against all odds, I somehow was able to have a (legitimized) bastard son with Daenerys Targaryen after helping her take the Iron Throne. Woo! My heir is now also heir to the Iron Throne!

10%? Seriously..., you're joking, right? Every other Lord Paramount can have 10% of the income of Iron Isles. And, as far as I am aware, none of them is reliant on the raiding for most of their income.

But then, in last 20 years in Aegon's Conquest scenario I had two bloody wars, every one lasting as short as few months. And I believe that most of the time I had depleted levies, because of raid on Highgarten going awry – which is double painful, as Iron Island are quite possibly the smallest Lord Paramouncy.

I'd agree with some nerfing of raiding, but I think it should be not more than to 40-50% of base value. Raiding should make it possible for Ironborns to accumulate more wealth than their neightbours – otherwise, it'd be just irritating. Hey!, it's not like you can raid anytime, don't risk your armies on raiding and (with new levy reinforcement rate) won't be prevented from significant raiding for a few years if you won't pull off from North before this crazy-sized Northern army wrecks your.

PS. Also, I dislike rejecting interesting and flavorfull features just for the sake of 'this group is OP'.

My bad, I don't think they should be disregarded in further additions to FLAVOR events. I don't think you've played a multiplayer game with another player as Ironborn. The Ironborn are indeed the smallest paramountcy, but the AI's inability to deal with amphibious invasions makes playing them excessively easy and rewarding. If you aren't a complete and total idiot, you won't lose your army raiding, and you can sit on the arbor and raid it wholly for over TWELVE HUNDRED GOLD. That takes me two years, thanks to the fact I have a navy big enough to transport my entire army there. You can waltz around the mainland armies, and your heavy defensive bonuses defending on your island makes defensive wars the easiest I've ever had. Unless of course its dragons or a united, happy Iron Throne (I.E. never), or a player. In the case of money, the Westerlands get only a small amount more monthly income than the Iron Isles. Even if they had a 4gold/month income over the Iron islands, it would be 50 years before it broke even with my 1200 gold raid on my 2 year raid on the arbor, not to even MENTION my the other areas I was raiding in that timeframe. That, in my opinion, is absolutely ridiculous. Besides, its stupid that the canon RICHEST kingdom by FAR is not NEARLY as rich as the Ironborn are (who supposedly care the least about gold) at ANY point in time.

For me, playing as the Iron Isles = 1/20th of the time, 1/5th of the effort to get 10 times richer and do 3 times better. That's. Crazy.

The point

Will diseases ever be implemented in the mod? Stuff like the grey plague which hit Oldtown, or the bloody flux and greyscale in Essos?

edit: Also, can The Hightower in Oldtown have a bigger castle? In lore, House Hightower is supposed to field more men than the other Reach bannermen, but in game it's only a Small Reachman Castle, it should at least be a Huge Reachman castle

I agree with you that raiding Arbor is broken. Just tested it – and have to agree that this raid is OP. But seriously – this province yielded benefits three to four times the sizes of gold I gained by raiding bloody Highgarten. And much more than I gained from razing Casterly Rock!

I am quite sure that Arbor should not be more wealthy that those two.

I really, really rarely raid Arbor. Mostly, I enjoy raiding near coastline – and if I feel particularly lucky, I'll go for one of the great cities of Westeros. They all give less gold, they all are much more difficult to raid than Arbor and they certainly result in more losses. (bah! - Sunspear even kills much of your army without battles, by the pure value of attrition)

Anyway, to sum tl;dr : yeah, but that's argument against the Arbor, not against the raiding in general. I just don't think we should modify working systems to match Arbor – if we do nerf it to your advices (to 10%), e.g. pillaging Highgarten (castle) would net you amazing amount of 16g. At the cost of – probably – most of your army, if Reach intervenes. Do you honestly think it'd be worth this achievement?
