[Mod] A Game of Thrones (Original Super Thread)

Hello I've been playing vanilla ck2 for a few months and recently tried to play this mod for the first time. But for some reason even though I can check the box for this mod in the launcher screen the game immediately crashes when I press play.

I play on Mac and followed two different ways of installing as described below but to no affect.

Is there a newer way of installing that works or is there something else going on?

The problem stems from the .mod file, which wont run properly on a Mac. You need to open it up, write in the full path to where the mod is, and create a Game of Thrones folder in the directory you found the mod folder in.

I am unsure how to do this (little better than laymans knowledge), specifically creating a path bit. I am currently following the instructions in the 2nd link (last quote in the post), how would I write the path to that location? I can't even open the .mod file...

My game crash (to the desktop) too many times... Only this mod crash, even if i play with only this mod.
I didn't change anything in the files, i don't understand why it crashes; it's normal because it's a beta?

I really wanted to try this mod out, but i am unsure how to download it... i dont find any download button in any of the download links in the first page (except for one that tells me that the file does not have any download mirror).

Might be really a stupid question, but i would like some help.

Maybe i am clicking the wrong download now button, but no matter how long i wait and try again i keep getting that message.

The same applies to the other zipped file.

It is 6:00 am now so i honestly doubt its because the file is being downloaded many times by many people at the same time (i have also tried it months ago and the reply message kept being the same).

The problem is that Gamefront banned half of the world from using their servers..... So there's that.

I've played a few games (around 3 generations each) and not once have I had a chance to get my own sword, also how can I get any of the other swords (e.g Ice) do I try and get my female family members married to the holder?

As Far as I remember this plot has fired for me, their may be atributing factors to increase the odds of the event fireing.
And to get a valarian sword inhearted they must have to other living dynasty members the sword always passes to a kin member if any first.

Do you mind registering with moddb ? As far as i understand you can then download directly there instead. Or you try some proxy.
If you do indeed mind, i might upload it once for you, but only once. The authors wouldn't appreciate it if somebody uploads it elsewhere i assume.

Hi I as playing as the reach and won a civil war to depose me and when I was revoking the titles off my negative opinioned vassals I accidentally revoked the citadel. Now I'm getting all these weird messages which I think I'm not meant to see and all these weird events with no writing on them. There is also no way to grant this title to anyone as well so I'm not sure what to do?

It's difficult to explain. I only know the problem is there from offhand comments made by Mac users. I don't have a Mac and I can't therefore examine it in detail.

I'm just wondering is why Bronn is an intresting character in the A feast for crows scenario? I mean you start as a count to a duke in the crownlands.. if you're lucky you might be able to get the duchy of Rusby in some way but not much else i guess?

'cus he's a character of some importance in the books, so it's quite clear why some people might want to play him given the opportunity.
