finnaly!!! i got it to work and found out what to do! Here is my story of finding it. I was merely just searching around my computer and doing anything i could (that wouldnt harm the computer of coarse) to get this mod to show etc. so i descided to extract the files to my desktop instead of anywhere else and then move it into the mod folder from there and voa la! it worked!:p:rolleyes: Thank you henkalv and Camara for trying to help me and it is really appreciated. Niw back on topic. Camara any screenies for when you do some things in europe?

The new subforum looks nice. :)

Very nice mod you have here fellow lusitan. Just one thing: Shouldn't the Chinese regions be called 'Cataio' instead of 'China'?

Thanks to you both. Ingame there is nothing called China, the two things named after China are the "chinese" culture and "chinese folk" religion.

Complete with Chinese folk music?

(OK, Japanese bluegrass)

Nice additions. Playing Japan and added Tohoku as an owned province in the save. After starting the game I got an event for either spending money and getting 2 trimeres or getting "incapable" for my ruler.

That's when I noticed that Tohoku doesn't have a port. They're stuck in the province and, using the Outliner links to the ships, can't move out of it.

And obviously all the names aren't implemented yet, so all the stuff is named things such as "heavy_infantry_korea_japan" or "trimere_korea_japan". :D

A note on Wa (Japan), though: What is up with the chinese names for characters? My current king is named Quan Nian married to Xiao Yao etc. Is this from not really making a list of contemporary names yet or was the upper crust of Japan actually more akin to the chinese in this early period? Atleast the legendary emperors go further back than the game.

If it's not the latter, how would ya feel about adding "Historical" monarchs for starting dates even if they aren't quite so historically documented as one would like? If so, I'd recommend using their official names as monarchs, since it'd get out of hand with real names such as "Ooyamatonekohikofutoni no Mikoto"!

Edit: Seems like Taiwan doesn't have a port either, I don't know how if Hokkaido has one, but I'd suggest checkin' out the new islands in general. :)

Edit2: Alright, Hokkaido has a port, but Bagan in Burma doesn't.

Yeah, removing japanese and korean from the chinese group was a late release decision so I forgot those details. Also I think I'll split japanese and korean so that they have different cultural groups - that way each other may have own names for characters.

Yes, some provinces didn't have a port, now I corrected it, when I release another version it will come corrected.

Of course I'll add historical characters but first I want to do other things like map, countries, etc.

Hurray!

Neat-o.

Of course. Is there a lot of the historicity left to be done (east of Parthia) in order to meet your minimum expectations? :)

Some things, add Tibet and inner Arabia, Garamantes and some more provinces in Europe.

By Historicity I meant more in the vein of adding "historical=yes" characters to start with for east-of-Parthia countries, as they'd all have to be added manually. Going off of the "I'll add.., but first" bit.

Glad to see something more in north-africa, limited as it is due to the Sahara. Where would the European provinces be? Expanding into PTI or adding additional provinces in bigger ones? :)

I'm not sure yet on Europe, but for example I'll add more provinces in Greece, Asia Minor, Sicily, Phoenicia, etc. I do not plan to change the barbarian provinces in Europe, I think they are fine as they are (I may add more barbarian countries but that's it). Also Sweden and the southern part of Russia will be added from the PTI darkness.

YES! Take that Norway!

New version released link:

- Compatible with final 2.32(c) patch
- No more circunavigation from Japan to Lusitania
- Korea and Japan are now different cultural groups
- Korean, Japanese, Hun (Mongol) and Southeast Asian (Vietnamese) names added (this means characters', units [may be extremely odd/wrong - but still for noobs like me they sound cool :p], king/emperor titles)
- Many provinces that didn't have a port now correctly have them
- Telugu culture moved to Eastern Indian cultural group

Wewt! Quick fix. :)

Hun (Mongol)

"Shen chu gui mo xiang na an ye de e meng!" to quote Mulan. It's uncertain both if the Xiongnu were mongols or if the Huns were remnants of Xiongnu and even if that's the case: most of the power of the Hunnic empire was being a steppe-confederacy people flocked to for an alternate center of power rather than a unified people. The traditional account of them being mongols come from the ethnocentric nationalism of the 19th century.

So let's not get ahead of ourselves, since even if the traditional account is correct, there would've been a massive change in their culture by that time. :D

Edit. Question: How'd ya get it to show the Japanese names in the correct order? Thought that was automated.

Edit2. The names seem good ("Ship", "Militiamen", "Elephant" etc), but it's Minpei in romaji, not Mimpei. Not as if it makes for much of a difference in pronounciation though. :p

Edit3. As for the ship names one could always use the EU3-list instead of the greek. Atleast the 3 main groups of the Far East are still around unlike the massive migrations and changes elsewhere. :D
