You mean right click on properties, then in the first menu section (General) click on set launch options and enter that?

I suppose I was getting confused by the preferences bit. And alrighty!

I do have a general random query- is there a possibility that adding so many races to the game might overload it and make it more likely to crash?
We'd rather not get into theories why this could happen. Fact is that noone in the dev team is/was able to recreate these crashes / instabilitites. The only thing we know is that it only happens on windows and its fixed when switching to opengl. We have forwarded this to PDS but fixing this is out of reach for us, the mod doesnt have errors and we dont have access to the sourcecode.

What's that, another mod? If so, almost certainly not. There are only a handful of other mods we've spent any time adding "support" for. We're generally happy to integrate features from other mods where their creators are happy to do, but as a rule we really don't have capacity to spend time on cross compatibility.

It's just an AI mod and improves the AI's performance considerably in my experience.

It won't be compatible. Glavius' mod works by changing AI weights for all manner of buildings, modules, technologies, whatever. STNH adds new buildings and stuff, and I assume also gets rid of Vanilla ones. No chance of compatibility there.

Hi guys,
is there a faq for the borg because I have no idea how to declare war with them for example. I can fly around in the krenim empire but it is impossible to declare war on them???
Mod looks amazing and nice to see that most of the techs now have proper descriptions.

eedit: I have the main mod, the content sub mod and the borg ui activated.

edit: So I'm now 15 years in. Still cannot declare war on anybody. Do I have a corrupted download? Super frustrating

edit: Ok. I just stopped smoking. Rage quit. Evening ruined. I need a smoke!

You need to border them

hmmm ok. Thanks. I assume that there is some kind of gameplay reason for this?
They use the devouring swarm mechanics. Its mostly vanilla stuff as far as I can tell.

could there be a decision or something for a non-borg player to switch on super-OP borg?
for when theyre failing to be threatening or just want the challenge

I gave the Federation a try and it was great. Huge improvement. Kept me interested long after the early game stage.
One thing that was a little strange though was that the Federation changed its color after the first integration (not the initial formation) of a coalition partner. It changed from blue to something like white with red borders?

On the number of races... We dont believe so. Obviously more stuff will slow things down, but we try to compensate elsewhere. Our fleets are generally smaller, for instance.

I was more meaning in a general sense. The main canon map already has a larger number of stars then the regular vanilla game huge map, and with each race your adding additional smaller fleets, even if their only minors and likely to just build one big doomstack. I'd figure that eventually it could reach a point where there's so much going on because the AI is running and managing so many separate races that it can (especially for say older or slower computers) overload it and crash.

I assumed it was one reason why vanilla Stellaris doesn't have something like a 5000 star map and the capability to have the ability to have like a 100 races or something.

You probably have union map mode on and if you were in a coalition with another power the change over might have done something to change the colors to that of the unions. At the very least, that color scheme sounds like the one the Denobulans I think have.

Oh and when playing as the Borg I'm getting a game crash when being contacted by the Tamarian Unity .. Its happen four times now and can pin point it down to exactly this event. Can send you the save file if needed.

I have the error log too. It contains errors from mods that are in my mod list but not activated...

Weirdly enough after typing Intel in the console to see if I could bypass the crash... When the Tamarian Unity appeared it didn't.

It only seemed to crash when they contacted me naturally. I'll dig out the save file now
