You know, this crit system was very misleading. I was baited too. When I saw it first, I thought "Cool, that's something new. New crits, new stuff can happen to your vehicles." And it was exciting first 2-3 games. But then I started to notice and realize that these crits chances replaced the actual kill chances! How many times do we see now a stack up of crits upon a harassed vehicle? A halftrack beaten by bazookas and AT guns can have 4 crits on top of each other and not be dead! That's a shame it was implemented in this game.
The thing is, in a decent hard played game, who actually pays attention to the little message that pops up? I have better things to do than enjoy the ambience of 'internal fragments' or 'weapons broken' messages. It's a pain the @rse actually....

OK, I was wrong, you simply got exactly what you asked for and deserve, so there is no point to whine now!
Too bad that these destructive changes impact people like me, who actually didn't needed some dumb popups over their vehicles and unrealistic possibilities to get rid of them (repair) just to refresh their SDN44 experience and actually voted NO to them to begin with!

I was very negative towards all of the changes in the recent beta. The crit change system added to increased vehicle speed has skewed the ATG vs Vehicle battle dramatically. Previously balance certainly wasn't perfect but there were a lot of options. Now it is optimal to only use armoured divisions (or scots) with large numbers of 1,200 metre range fire support vehicles and cheap infantry.

I was negative too. I don't want another Wargame. I would play WG:RD if i did. Sadly it looks like Eugen will create WG:WW2 out of SD. Just wait for tanks going through forests and hedgerows.

Well, they created SD 44 as WG successor according to the award winning post of someone from Eugen on reddit. The other thing is who asked for it and how it was received by the milions who bought WG,i dont blame them for trying to fix it.

It is a losing battle. They won't like the game because it is not wg4 and cold war themed. Their eastern bloc countries' wunderwaffe is not in this game.

Might be lost and i support them for trying to fix it, but i was just showing some facts to you that SD 44 was meant to be WG WW2 ;).

Then they shouldn't have added new mechanics. Infantry should have shot each other in the woods to the death, tanks should have been breaching forests from start with their repairable health bars. No frontline mechanic, sectors would be fine. No divisions, only nations and decks and prototype units for nation decks which includes tanks like Maus and T-95. AT guns in buildings like ATGMs of WG (I guess MM said that they want this in SD because WG had ATGMs in towns, lol)

I would stick to WG:RD if they had done this. And it looks like they will. Well maybe they accidentally made a cool game...

The mistake was taking the fun out of SD...

It should have been a thematic yippee shoot of a game...now it's a thematic bog-fest.

Q: Is that quote seriously supposed to be by a dev on Reddit? If so, way to blame your player base for your failure to sell your product, dude...(and that's from someone who still plays it).

Yes, it is from a dev. There is so much more on reddit if you want to look, very interesting. After reading all the posts from eugen devs, many like me simply dropped any delusion that eugen can deliver a decent game.

Not that they can't deliver decent games, they are very good at ruining their games.

Why does bullshit like 10v10 exist? Why don't we have a decent automatch system like in coh2? People doesn't want to deal with archaic lobby crap.

DLC nations of WG, I don't even want to start... Abandoning their games without balancing them.

10vs10 is very fun, you should try it in teams :) As we 10vs10 players said before, 10vs10 actually brings a lot of people to the table. There is a big scale flavour in it you don't have in any other gamemode. I guess people plays this game for different reasons.
Though I don't get what's the point in all these last messages, truly.
