Are you sure you wrote it in the format :

command = { type = peace_wtih_all which = ENG }

Meaning "UK will sign peace with everybody it is at war with". Specifying the tag is mandatory.

Ack. I left out the which part of the command because it made no sense that, say, England would have to specify, in its own event, that it was England that was going to have peace. Does this mean that, say, an event could fire for GERMANY making England go to peace with everyone England is at war with? :confused:

If so... interesting possibilities.

Only triggers allow for "-1" - type values for country tags signifying the current receiving the event or a random country.

Commands always require the country to be specified explicitly by a tag.

And yes, this does mean you can have England sign peace with everybody in a GER event.
 
I have found a strange bug, not in 1,4.

When running a production line, you can click "Cancel" and it goes down to the one your producing at the moment, if you do this with infra at 9/10 it goes to 9/0. It is the same in 1,4 however in 1,4 it did finnish the production. In 1,5 it just goes on forever without finnishing.

It is said, on the production screen, that it transforms oil into rare.
When I look at ressources flows, I see that it transforms oil & metal into rare.

Can you adjust of them?

By the way, if one would want to make the synthetic plants convert only oil to rares, could he mod that himself or is it hardcoded?

Could this value be put in misc.txt, in case?
 
I experince quite a lot of crashes, but seems like anyone else have very few (at least hands off games)

For instance in this save game (see below) when I invade Belgium I get a crash every time I try to invade the northern province (Antwerp)

Edit: If I wait a bit of time then I can invade, but later I declare war on Yugoslavia and attack right away and again crash :(
Edit2: It seems that there is no problem if you declare war - wait a day and then invade. It seems like it does not understand you are in war before one day is gone, and it will therefor crash if you try to attack. Can anyone else please test if they have this problem?is
Edit3: It seems like the timezone/time is off, it is night in Europe at 14:00 etc.

I'm getting a savegame error that renders the game unplayable for more than one session. I noticed it when I got an error message at the start of Febuary that I accidently clicked away before I could read it. When it came up again at the start of March I realised that the autosave function wasn't working. As a test I tried to save my game, and the same error message came up. It said something like "Could not find [insert save name here].eug", and it then gave me the option to abort (causes CTD), try again (causes error again) or ignore (game does not save, but no other problem occur).

I installed the beta over a clean 1.04 install. If somebody could help/confirm this bug soon that would be a huge help as I'd like to start playing soon!
 
Ran a handsoff test, and I'm quite impressed. US landed in Italy already in -42, USSR and China are much more aggressive.

Though a couple few things that have actually gotten worse or still need improvement.

For some reason Finland, China and UK divs sink to really low strenght, around 5-10. Maybe the attrition, IC, manpower or reinforce priorities. I read that desert attri has been decreased, but it still seems the same. Winter attri is way too high now. I've seen Soviet divs suffer 15% attrition. Finnish divs can barely stay alive in their homeland, even during peacetime.

UK and Italian home multipliers are way too low. UK was defended about 5 divs, Italy 2 divs. One US motorized div basically lands unopposed, and then advances without much opposition all the way from Sicily to Austria... until German reinforcements arrive.

Tripoli (Libya) again an easy target for a UK landing. Basically the Brits landed there about 5 times and the Italians always had to divert forces to drive them off. I'm gonna try tweaking some priorities, or add locked garrisons if they gotta do the job.

China is a lot better now, though Guanxi didn't dow China. Nevertheless China held off the Japanese pretty well; Nanking fell in -38, and in -40 the situation is pretty much a stalemate in the interior. Still in -42 a stalemate with the Japanese advancing a prov or two. China runs out of rares around 41-42. There was the Burma road event for resources, but I got to check if it's actually working. That could be a good way to prevent Chinese resource shortages, while pressuring Japan to change focus to a war on the Pacific.

1941 Barba is quite impressive. Though Finland quickly collapses for the reasons mentioned, and Germany gets stopped around the Dnieper line. Soviet counterattacks are quite impressive, but Germany still makes quite significant progress in 1942... mostly in the North. I would weaken the Soviets a bit for -41, and strenghten them for -42 onwards.

Germany runs out of rares in -42, just like in 1.04. The AI is on hard, yet even the resource boost isn't enough...

Germany doesn't garrison Norway properly, UK makes an easy landing in -41. But could be due to Finland getting owned.

Also I've only seen USA build infra. Basically every +7 IC / resource rich prov should be built up to 200%. Except cases like Paris and Warsaw.


Gonna try fixing some of these issues, and running a new test. But really good work so far guys, you impressed yet another HoI veteran over here! ;)


EDIT: Could someone please tell me, where in the AI files do you have the new infra lines.

Though I doubt it, do you think it could be to do with our systems? What are you using? I'm using x64 Windows 7. Though it's unlikley that this is the cause of the problem, it's always good to be sure.

If you get the error too then it's also unlikely that it was down to an error in the install. If it isn't then I have no clue how to fix it:confused:

What happens if you run as administrator or when you install in another directory like C:\games\aod?

Yes, I think your right.

The time is only 45:00 on this attack mistake error. It runs okay, with time/date/year it is just like 6-7 hours off or something like that.

The year is fine, as you can see up in the corner.

It is really weird.

I've tried doing a clean install in the (x86)Program Files folder (as aposed to the usual standard Program Files install I do for the sake of housekeeping). It still happens.

Running as Afdministrator works! Odd as I never had to do that for AoD 1.04 or earlier :confused:
