Thank you for making the designs exportable. I have been testing this a bit more.

1. The ability to add a "Designer Note" is awesome. Thanks for adding this!
2. I noticed that the title of the design is included in the exported content, but the Designer Note is not. Is this intentional? It would be nice to include it but I can understand why you might not.
3. I previously reported that for the Navy designs, it appears that the issue where the wrong tag gets applied to the design after having been imported is not yet fixed. For example this design had a skull on it when I exported it (Italy "early sub"), but after importing it has the green turret. The same thing appears to be the case for airplanes and tanks - the icon is not applied. In my experimentation, it appears that the reason for this is that the exports do not include the icon data. An export of a ship, tank, and plane with different icons and of otherwise identical design produced the exact same export.
4. When saving a design, the "Choose an existing folder" dropdown should automatically select the last folder used.
5. "Export to clipboard" is a bit awkward - it would be fine to just say "Copy to clipboard" instead.

Again thanks for this awesome feature!!
Thanks for the feedback :)

Regarding the tags for navy. Arheo answered this in the original thread for the open beta: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/open-beta-patch-1-16-5.1734850/post-30296249

Some more feedback:

Iraq
- After taking the focus "Curtail Pan-Arabism" is complete, Iraq should lose the option to form Arabia and instead gain the option to form Mesopotamia
- When Bakr Sidqi becomes country leader the Non Aligned party should be called Alhukumat Aleaskaria (Military Government)
- The focuses "Carve-up Syria" and "Status of Lebanon" should demand them to their corresponding overlord, as the description implies
- The focus "Take Advantage of the Situation" should demand Jordan and Palestine from the UK

Iran
- If you decide to go down the constitutional monarchy path as Iran, the flag should become this one after taking the focus "Restoring Constitutional Limits of the Shah"
View attachment 1282586
- If Mohammad Ali Foroughi is chosen as leader, his party should be called Revival Party (Ḥezb-e Taǰaddod in Farsi)
- All political party names should be in Farsi
- If you go down the Democratic path as Iran and take the Allies path, after completing the final Focus "Post War Spoils" that gives us cores in Iraq and Afghanistan, 2 things should happen:
. Iran's name should change to "Sublime State of Iran" if a constitutional monarchy and to "Greater Iranian Republic" if a republic
. 2 new Flags, 1 for republican and another for constitutional monarchy
It would feel weird to add that flag without the Guarded Domains name or a Qajar Shah

All this time has passed and you only added 2 generals for Iran? Is this a joke? Iran needs more generals, field marshals and admirals. Why don't you do some research? The path of Iranian fascism is complete nonsense. Someone like Habibollah Nobakht could have been worthy of Iranian fascism (Kabud Party)

If it was as simple as adding black and white photos then I'm sure Paradox would add as many as possible but they all have to be digitally painted by an artist and that takes time to do for each one.

But it shouldn't be too much too ask to replace all fantasy ministers and staff officers.

They cannot use someone else's copyrighted photos in game, even if those are easily found online.
Given that the pictures have no longer any copyright, they should be able to. A 80 year old picture has no copyright. Given that work they put in by having artists recreate the pictures copyright shouldn't be a thing in anyway.

They very likely could still have copyright attached. This year (2025) published works from 1929 (and before) and sound recordings from 1924 (and before) entered the public domain (at least in the US), so any works from after those dates are assumed to still be under copyright. Part of the expense of creating an image for the game has to be determining the copyright status of the source materials.

Didn’t seem to be a problem with HOI3 where you had huge numbers of commanders (including air commanders iirc) with photos. The switch to portraits was probably an aesthetic choice but I suspect it has had the unintended consequence of limiting the number of characters.

as far as I know there are some AIs doing the same job, if it really takes long time, then using AI can be very helpful. however I guess after main DLCs the graphical artists shouldn't have much work to do, and they can handle tasks like this and create tens of portraits weekly, if they'd be asked for.

anyway I agree with you guys, since Iran has potential for a great amount of man power, it's very important to have more generals and field marshals, in other topic I mentioned the name of about 10 generals and 3 field marshals and I can provide their pics if Paradox wants.

and beside that, I hope we'd finally have nice looking officer portraits and not Arab and not red hat ones because Iran is not Arab and also those red hats was never part of its peoples' cloth! just using normal faces like Turkey, Sweden, or any other countries would be much better than these culturally non-related faces.

and here i was hoping for bugfixes for the game and all there is are open beta balance changes to an already out dlc. smh
Hello, I want to report, as usual in my posts, an inconsistency in the game. This has to do with the No Step Back DLC and Arms Against Tyranny.

The problem starts when playing as Estonia, more specifically, playing the fascist route, which allows the unification of Estonia and Finland. Here, everything is normal except for one small but important detail: the transfer of generals and admirals.

Why do I say this? Because if it's a peaceful and voluntary unification, those generals and admirals should also be part of that unification and come under your control. But in the game, that doesn't happen, and I think it's unfair. Because if we play as Hungary and seek to reestablish the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and both Austria and Czechoslovakia voluntarily annex, their generals come under your control.

Well... I'm not sure if the same thing happens with Austria, but the point is that it makes no sense not to have them when it was voluntary and even the army is under your control.

It's the same with the other baltic states.

Iran's Islamic Revolution focuses must be expand. It's fast and primitive.
Ottoman path of Turkey is insufficient and not realistic. Last focus (nightmare of meiji) is competely irrelevant. I think Ottoman path must connected with late game focus tree of Turkey. Maybe Turanist ambition focus can replace with Pax Ottomana or similar something.
Both of Side need new advisors(Sia cleargy and Ottoman Royalists)
traditionalism and secularism must connect with every Muslim countries politics.
Shia-Sunni rivalry cant be unforgotten.
