Errrrrr..... Installed both patch and DLC. UI broken on Mac. Trying to select a country on launch is a hit and miss exercise with the map panning and zooming randomly. This undocumented feature is consistent after starting the game. Disabling DLC doesn't help, so patch is the culprit. Any chance we can get a fix in the next 5 minutes? Much obliged.

Got it. Only happens when there are other windows open in the same desktop (e.g. Steam). If I move the launcher to a clear desktop before launching the game, it seems to work fine in all scenarios.

Mhh... I have been playing for about an hour now and I cannot seem to find out how I can increase development. The buttons, or what seem to be buttons on the province page cannot be pressed and do not give an indication as to what I am missing or doing wrong.

Do you have the DLC? WAD if not, though I agree the buttons shouldn't look like buttons when you don't have it.

doesn't work for me

Well, that bit worked for me, the spastic panning and zooming stopped. I've found other UI issues though, like "sticky" pop ups that hold on to the cursor like flypaper. It's sort of medieval to flick the cursor around the screen like I'm trying to get a band-aid off the sole of my shoe.

The cherry on top - game crashes when I hover the cursor over the leader box in an army. Not in all circumstances, but I'm too tired and underpaid as a troubleshooter to put more effort into the diagnosis. Will try after the soon to be published hotfix. Right, Paradox?

While we're talking about UI, why, oh why, can't the bigger diplomacy screen and readable font be brought into the vanilla EU4?!

What do you mean? Do you have to exit out of steam or something? Im confused and having the same issue. thanks

Other countries (Wallachia and Poland at least, Austria not) toggle fort maintanance on and off every second so that the check mark is blinking o_O
This needs a hotfix, its probably the cause of the low performance, half of the countrys just toggle their maintenance on and off every day, probably because there income is high enough without them, but to low with maintenace on...

Just checked it again, almost all small countrys with a fort do this (brandenburg, Saxony, Wallachia) while the big ones (France, Austria, Lithuania) keep their forts at full strength, so that speeks for the income theory

Create a second desktop in Yosemite. Open the EU4 launcher from Steam, start Mission Control and drag the launcher to the new desktop such that it is the only window active in it. Flick to the new desktop and launch game. Also make sure the Dock is in autohide in your system settings.

There are other problems as per my previous post, so hardly worth it atm.
