I cannot get Volumetrics quality to stick either. It is disabled when I reload the game and doesn't appear to be turning clouds back on. If these optiosn were disabled please just say so.

Edit: Volumetrics stays on if turned on BEFORE loading a save. Depth of Field stil won't turn on.

It could make a difference if it is a game breaking bug.

Platforms have different internal processes as you mentioned, but it's up for the developers to have this in mind and make sure it's released at the same time.

I imagine this is going to be a one time thing as it's new to Paradox, I have plenty of games from Game Pass from other publishers that get the patches on the same day as other PC platforms.
so you are essentally asking for them to delay the steam patch until after the microsoft certification is finished?

Hi, I am told the FOG has a huge impact on FPS, and its best turned off. Also the rain can suck up GPU usage. But that's another story!

Turn AA on for the love of god!

Did the patch update for Steam went live? I'm still stuck on 1.0.9f1.

the big problem is "No customers"
I thought you just need to build more residential, industrial and offices, or make new trade routes? I thought this is based on the production chain and whether you have a deficit of resources for the commercial buildings to operate.

I have massive amount of residential and industrial buildings but commericals are still complaining about "no customers". My city population is mostly wealthy. Another issue is that the intercity exporting is totally broken in the game.

In that case, you need to check individual commercial buildings, and look at what product types they are selling. It's mainly due to the production chains having too much supply but little demand, and you need to figure out how to increase said demand for those product types.

I personally don't see it as a bug. Whenever I see the icons, I would know, "Okay, great I need to increase my industrial zones, and produce more of the material and immaterial goods so they all are not having deficits."

Turn AA on for the love of god!
Its 4k on a 27 inch monitor AA is not going to have a big impact visual. i will see if there is a big impact performance.

I will have a look tomorrow.

It improved it already a lot! thank you so much! Yesterday in 1080p it was absolutely playable and enjoyable just some graphic issues. After the hotfix it works absolutely smooth in 4k with 50k population
Excited for more updates to come!

Thanks for the update that fast.

My notes on the patch:

Ryzen 5800x3D, 32GB RAM, RTX 4070Ti @ 1440p
  • High Settings, TAA
  • Volumetrics Disabled
  • Dynamic Resolution Scale Disabled
  • VSync Disabled
  • No other setting changed
City pop ~16,5k:
  • Temps:
    • GPU: ~63C (down from ~70C)
    • CPU: ~66C (down from ~68-70C)
  • VRAM Usage @ 7,7/12 Gb (64%) - about the same as pre-patch.
  • FPS(pre-patch ~35fps)
    • Ground level: 45-75fps (depending on the surroundings)
    • Close to mid zoom: ~45fps
    • All out: ~65fps
So far what stands out is that the vegetation looks a lot better and overall the textures look more consistent.

I thought it was a bug too, but it seems it takes a few game hours for the water to go away. There is no water animation but the water is still there and roads etc react accorgingly. I placed the game on speed 3 and waited a couple of minutes (real time) and alll was well.
Terraform your areas, save, then re-load the game :)

Pf... how about you actually PLAY the game yourselves before releasing it? The UI is a nightmare.

Without VSYNC, without motion blur, without DoF, without resolution scale.
High quality settings by default. Resolution 1080p. Same as yesterday.

After the patch v1.0.11:
They have uploaded about 10 fps on average. The GPU overload in the menu before starting to play seems softened as 20%.

In round numbers I am between 50 and 90 fps.
In an empty area it can reach 111 fps. At some point in a turn on top of the city you can go down to 43/46 fps.

Is that 1080p or 1440p?
