It's not doing that for others. Your game works OK with 2.32, it's only since the beta this happens? Probably best to start your own fresh thread here on this one.

You have to copy yur Steam installation of Rome/V elsewhere, like c:\games\rome-beta\ , then apply the beta over that. Otherwise Steam may try to "update" it back to 2.32.

The beta patch? No, just this one, sorry. It downloads for me perfectly fine so the problem must be at your end. Maybe try a different machine or a different location?

This patch gets rid of the cascading alliances issue. Does it also chnage the way the AI negotiates peace with junior partners in an alliance? Because currently I am in a war as a junior partner of an alliance. I have got a war score of about 60%, having conquered over half the enemies provinces (including the capital and all of the high manpower ones) and have defeated all of the enemies armies. But the enemy will not accept even a demand of tribute of 10 gold, but they will accept a white peace.

Is this because the game mechanics have changed? Maybe the new patch sets it so the AI will never pay tribute to a junior partner in a war....

If you overwrite your official install with the beta, no. If you wisely made a copy of your installation before patching one with the beta, yes.

Nothing official, I'm afraid. At the moment it essentially depends on Doomdark doing it in his free time, which is zero at the moment due to CK2. I don't know if there might be a gap in his schedule after, say, 1.10, or running up to the release of EU4.

You cannot. The Mac version is written and supported by Virtual Programming, not Paradox, and they do not get or distribute beta patches. You can only use the latest released patch 2.32c until this beta is officially released - VP will then convert it to Mac.
