hi again,

Now I have played a few games as commie China, as Germany, Austria, France and USSR.

Why do you have events that make 5 infra? :( it makes it impossible to get 100 infra in those provinces! - that is...*sniff*.....very....*sniff*....sad!

Hiya,
Just to comment that I am enjoying your mod, even though I do not speak French. Thank you Norman invaders for giving the English language enough French that i can stumble through the events.
In any case I have played around with Germany a bit and managed to get a civil war in 1933 (that alone makes this a seriously cool mod), and I am currently playing through a bit at each time of a 'historical' approach (now 1934) and an alternate Imperial germany (currently march 1938).

In any case I think your mod is superlative. However in my Imperial Germany (1938) game I notice that the Soviet Union has 800+ IC and is currently trading for nearly every metal in the world. Is this the result of an event in French that I missed, or is the game unbalanced - the USA has only ~200 IC

Does imperial Germany get special brigades like the SS or Guards? I ask because I used to play the Krieg/Totalen Krieg board games with the alternate history and both Fascist and Imperial Germany received SS counters, while the Republicans had to make do with the Heer.

Cheers in any case

I'm glad you enjoyed with playing this mod.
I'm afraid that there is no special brigade for the imperial germany.
Countries with special brigade are USA, France, Nazi Germany, USSR, Japan, Italy, UK and alternative Austro hungarian empire.
But this path is really particular and i'm sure you will be surprised  especially in 1939.
I think that the 800+ IC of the Soviet Union can be explained with 2 reasons 1) Soviet Union is currently in war 2) Trotsky is hothead of the nation. In the second case IC are growing geometrically

HEY MAMMOTH! - READ HERE!

Yes I noticed that the USSR really has a go at IC-building like a loony toon - the only way to keep them moderate is to trade heavy with them and take the stocks they have - after a while they tend to cancel trade agreements - but continue as soon as you can - anyway they use money on cancels:) - As for the SS in Imperial Germany - Not that i remember - no SS - and dont plan on war at the usual date - have a look at the eventsfiles...if you dont wanna be surprized :D

oooooops - Konig was faster

sorry :eek:o

Mod 33

Cheers to both.

I like being surprised. I look forward to an unusual start date for the war. Given my lack of French I think that I have read an event that described how either Imperial Germany is encircled by the UK France and Poland or that Germany will encircle the UK France and Poland :)

I looked at the SU again and its not at war. Its build queue is chock full of factories. Youch. its available IC's depends on its metal trades and bounces from ~600 to ~850. Nice one.

I suspect that the Kaiser is going to end up in Surinam this time:)

Hi folks,

I'm playing the Imperial GER path too for the moment, but the events of the 'Poland Crisis' do not work properly.

KWII does not land in Danzig, and the follow-up events are blocked. :( Surprisingly, the 'Molotov-Ribbentrop-Pact'-event pops up.

I looked at the files and added some "#" where they were missing, but it still does not work properly.

Perhaps some of the dev.s can help?

AdL

edit: now KWII lands in Danzig, but the M-R-P still pops up.

I tried playing it a bit, but immediately after starting, I got several events with the tagline "Unkown string wanted", and then an event in French where I couldn't really understand the affects of choosing it. I don't think I'm going to be able to play this until its put into English. =\

The events ending the Poland-Campaign for Imperial-GER simply lack dates, which - as far I remember from my own modding - prevents off-fire.

I'll have have to look at the following ones too.

Somewhere in this thread was the hint, you should use 'babblefish', which translates the events.

Alas, the times are long lost, when Frensh was spoken by all educated mankind. ;)

Yes, now we speak English. ;)

That changed sometime in the first half of the 20th century. Hey, lucky Canadians, who speak both. :D

Seriously now, did the 'bablefish'-hint help you?

I'm actually translating the entire Imperial Germany event file as we speak. What else would I need to translate to have a fully understandable game as Imperial Germany?

Edit: Also, should the M-R pact happen? A poster above mentions it, and I was curious if it was suppose to be there and if not, how can I make things right?

As far I see, yes. Just adapt the text to the imperial flavour, et voilà!

I choose the limited pact, but had to reload. The following events (Austria) work exept for the "newpaper" to ENG and FRA, but they are only cosmetcally.

Somewhere at the beginning of the Polish campagn, there is an event with only option "a", but it has a chance of 90 to happen. I put "#" before that line ...

BTW should we continue this exchange openly (in this forum) or via private messages?

Yours, AdL

I've fully translated Imperial Germany's text...or at least babalized it. :p So if you guys want it I can always send it. We can talk via PM if you prefer. I just spent the past 6 or 7 hours translating that file. :p
