If I attach a CAS air wing on an arm, will this air wing support the army's front of do I have to issue orders as well? Thanks!
You have to set the wing to the ground support mission as normal. The main purpose of attaching the air wing to the army is so that it will automatically change airbases to remain close to the army's battles, as well as changing air zones to follow them as needed.

Any air units on ground support will automatically support battles in their air zone. It's not necessary to be assigned to an army for that to happen. I haven't seen anything that says attached air units will prefer their army's battles when there's a choice. So the benefit of the feature is simply not having to manually shuffle your CAS units as your armies advance.

What exactly has a GER player to do to get the historical Croatia state created when / after one got to war with Yugoslavia?
Pretty sure it depends on Yugoslavia having Croatian Opposition, not something Germany can control.

Too bad as i like to RP things out. From a min-max perspective Croatia maybe of no use but personally i prefer historical flavor over simple gameplay advantages. Thanks for your reply though.

Is it possible to permanently pin naval/air regions (meaning I don't have to manually re-pin them every time I boot the game)?

All missions should be saved, as they are for the AI.

Playing my first Mexico game - have gone socialist and am building up the Bolivarian alliance, and wanting to nationalize the oil fields for myself before I push into Central America.

There's a nice big red warning saying "this might cause the US to go to war with you" - I don't quite want to go to war with them yet, so what's the best way to keep them friendly (enough) so that I can keep building up?

On historical AI focus the AI will never declare war over this. They will also not declare war if they are already in another war or have less than 40% stability or war support. Otherwise the chance is still rather low, unless they are fascist. There's not really anything you can do.

So basically wait for them to start fighting Japan if I want to be careful. Got it.

Also, I managed to negotiate the focuses without triggering a civil war from the Cristeros and have fairly high stability, but when I got into a war (supporting a coup faction), it dropped my stability enough that I was under threat of the civil war triggering again until I pushed it back over 60 (fortunately I was only at 58, so it was trivial to do so). Is there away to secure the state enough without triggering & winning the Civil War so I don't have to worry about it?

EDIT: Also, is there a reason why entire allied armies are marching to the American border during peace? Like, I appreciate that they've got my back, but I want them elsewhere at the moment...

Hi everyone, best wishes!
First, sorry cause English isn't my mother tongue.
I'm veteran HOI 4 player, long ago I didnt play, and I recently decided playing back to test man of guns. The new naval mechanic is ok... but I dont know what is happenig in land combats..., I try to reproduce the fall of France, playing as Germany, as I used to do past times, but it is imposible, I find a wall of belgian, french and british units near to be unvincible.... All my units are updated, well prepared and equipated, air superiority, high land and air doctrines, etc. all what ever was necesary, but the army crash, it is a massacre :(, I can only advance some territories in many months, and finally to have a bitter "victory" if I let Italy go on war (they inmediatly conquer south of France!!!!) what`s new on HOI4 now, or was new last year of game development...? There would be any thread where to get advise how to play with Germany in wester front to get historic results? (an updated thead, I mean, because the game has been constantly retouched everytime.... not the old way, wich I knew)
Thanks in advance for your help :)

I don't mean missions. I am talking about how you can "pin" the names of sea/air regions (ex. "North Sea") to the right side of the screen.

Ah, I haven't use that feature. Thanks for pointing it out. If its not saving, then bug report it.

For the scouting fleet mission, is it total spotting or spotting/visibility that makes for faster spotting of an enemy fleet?

Are AA divisions (some INF battallions for basic stats and the rest made up of AA) actually a thing against strategic bombing or are division based AA only having impact on air missions directed at ground combat?

If the former, do the AA divisions gain xp from shooting down bombers?

When a fleet is attack from the air is that Anti-air value of the entire fleet taken into consideration, or just the targeted fleet? If I build some AAA light cruisers will they defend the whole fleet, or just themselves?

No, AA battalions only shoot when being attack by planes, no help against strategic bombing.

There is two part, ships own AA and fleet AA to reduce damage from Air.
Better have at least one cheap AA in any ship than nothing. It help to reduce about 18% damage with just 2 AA.

AA on any ship will contribute 20% value to fleet AA to use in damage reduction. But it is more important to have AA on CV and BB ships, because planes will prioritize them first. Try to refit AA on old battleships/CA to protect CV.

Too bad, i think that it would be more realistic to let that happen. But thanks for your swift reply.

hey guys

i am busy with a mod for Cuba.

now i am in the progress of adding leaders to my nation.
now i do know how to create one from the start but how do i get the game using my portraits when i buy a new general in the game?
is there a command line for that?

is the airbug and suicide transports fixed?

(I uninstalled after 1.5 DLC debacle and have been holding of playing or buying the DLC until they fix the usual release-gamebreaking bugs, lets hope they get fixed this time before they work on next DLC;))
