1) Does the tank speed bonus for the panzer leader trait actually work by now (not just being shown in a tooltip)?

2) Do theorist's bonuses to units actually work by now?

3) If i have an improved tank variant (for example: speed +2) and convert those into - say TDs - does the +2 speed make it over to the variant or is it lost in the conversion process?

Does supply affect a divisions armor?

I just noticed my armored divisions were being penetrated by foot infantry. My armored divisions were 5 medium armor (with a point in extra armor) & 5 motorised infantry. When I moused over in the combat screen I found my armor was 4.1, in the division designer it is 44.8! When I clicked on the division icon in the army it was confirmed as 4.1

When I withdrew the divisions to a different supply region the armor went back up to 44.8

Losing 91% of my armor rating came as a surprise. It is a bug or WAD?

If your tanks are out of gas and out of ammo, they are really just target practice for any infantryman with a bazooka or panzerfaust.

Low supply does not directly impact armor, but it does indirectly via fuel.

When your tank divisions run low on fuel they start losing all stats contributed by fuel using vehicles/tanks like speed and armor.

It's basically working as designed as far as I understand, you can fight a few days in low supply with tanks, then you need to start to be very careful and keep a look at their fuel stores.

How good/bad is state anti-Air?
Is it viable for defending your factories if you cannot afford to keep your fighters up for a prolonged period of time?

At the start of the '36 game, the naval Theater graphics are nearly incomprehensible, fleet commands are fairly simple and their symbols easily changed, the sub-fleets are what I'm having trouble with .
If I have to, I'll take apart sub-fleets to split them into SSs, DDs, CLs, CAs class groups for XP farming; then cutting out 'screening groups' to be 'fitted' to capitals, and sent to a formed fleet [ as divisional squadrons ] .
My main gripe is with the 'targeting' of ships to vacant feet names, which I hope to delete, and the almost universal dropping of launched ships into the first Theater Reserve {Atlantic, for USA} , instead of PACIFIC THEATER for port launches in WA, OR, CAL, and Hawaii !!

If you keep up with AA techs State AA will knock down a lot of planes should the AI decide to Strat bomb that state. On the whole worth it if you have some Civ factories to spare without affecting your build up too much AND you expect to get Strat bombed.

State AA also contributes to air superiority by reducing enemy air superiority score, so it works best in conjunction with your fighters, not as a substitute. Consider trying to wedge some fuel storage or refineries into your build up if you can afford the research to keep your fighters in the air.

So I took a 1 year hiatus and came back. I can't seem to keep myself in fuel as the UK. I have about 600 planes attempting to get air superiority on the channel which I am currently failing at but in the meantime my fuel consumption is equal to what I am using on my planes. As a result any fuel for the army or navy results in a huge loss. So basically I now am almost out of fuel and I'm not really gaining any just trying top keep up in the air.

I've built multiple refineries and I've researched the fuel production tree up to current.

What's going on? Am I really bad or is fuel now the most important resource? Or both?.... :(

Civilian economy is really bad, especially by 1940. (it's one of the country upgrades same as manpower laws, tech companies and ministers) It can be tempting to wait till at war and then make the upgrade all in one go, rather than pay 150 per step but it's vital for the factory build speed and oil conversion for the UK if you want to be in a reasonable state by war's start.

Import oil from the beginning of the game (I used 3 factories) and make sure do any fuel improving conversion techs as soon as you can.

As you can see you are currently making 1.8K a day and if all your navy launched it would require 27.6K per day.

As a new player playing Germany I'm always scared to start a war with the Allies when I know Soviet will be coming for me soon. So in my last game somehow my faction members got into a war with the Allies but I just ignored their call to arms popups and I noticed some weird behavior.

If I fight in a territory under occupation by an ally who is in a war with the Allies, the Allied troops will ignore my units and just walk and flip the territory, then my units will retreat, I assume because they're exiled. Same works the other way too.

I guess my question here is, do you experienced players ever ignore call to arms and how do you deal with this behavior if yes. Or is it considered cheese. Or do you just not invite people to your faction because they always start their own wars.

from watching the stream i've seen France starts with some negative maluses.

but this one, disjointed government

political_power_cost = 0.8
unity_factor = -0.10

i understand that it loses 10% NU but what is with the political cost? everything cost 80% more?

This means as France, you would gain 0.8 less political power per day. For instance, if you normally receive 1 P per day, you will only receive 0.2 P if you have the spirit.
