Well, I guess a rejected team vote is better than a failed mission.

I'd still prefer to not be on any teams for the time being. And, I should mention that I'd be likely to use my card to veto any approved teams featuring me, so a leader probably shouldn't go through with the trouble of proposing one. ;)

That's silly. If everyone has voted, just move things along.

The potential for game delay is one of the reasons why I felt the "true" voting ought to remain in PM, but if we are doing it openly, it's best that everyone still gets a chance to make a public stance on the matter, should he so choose.

It might help if votes had to be final in the future. Post all you want for discussion and debate in the mean time, but when you make a vote, it must stick. That would speed things up, at least. If you're not sure about yes or no, just refrain until you are.

I'm not a spy.
So that means that randy's conclusion that esemesas is a spy is incorrect, or at least that his conclusion that esemesas had given the "keeping a close eye on you" card to a fellow spy is incorrect.
That means we certainly have to consider the possibility that randy is a spy.

At the moment we know, that at least one of the three members of the first team is a spy, maybe even two.
I will assume (because that chance is greater) now that exactly one member of the first team is a spy and then randy is correct that in the current proposal at least one of the candidates is a spy.
And I agree now that it's better to have a different team which includes one of the members of the first team.

However I don't like the idea that randy becomes a member of that team. He has experience with this game and I'm sure he knows how to misguide the other players.
So when a new mission is proposed I think tamius should be in it from the first team.
And I still don't like the idea that Cliges becomes a team member in the current team.
Regarding the other candidates the new Leader can decide.

I'll change my vote to REJECT
And I give the GREEN light to continue.

It's just that changing your own vote, pushing the result over the edge and then calling for an end to the voting is a bit... gamey.

But it's been enough now, I'd say, so the next Leader can make his proposal: randakar, you're up.

I proposed an end to voting. I didn't call for an end. I wanted to give people time to get their last words in, change their votes and the like before I did call an end.

Same for me.
I did give the green light, saying that I wouldn't change my vote anymore, but still allowing other players to change their vote.

So we now vote to end voting? Do we also have a vote on the end of voting for the end of the vote?

The leader decides when the vote ends, or at least that's when the plan was. I was letting people know I was going to end it soon, so if they wanted to add something then they needed to speak up.

I thought things were less confusing before you said either me or Kingepyon are a spy, and then suggested that we both be put on the next team.

(Also, is the forum acting kinda crappy for anyone else, or is it just me?)

That's because I changed my mind in between.
Yeah, I know. I am completely clueless. Sorry.

Happy birthday!

And I just realised that, unless there was more than one spy on team 1(possible, yet unlikely), the team we are now debating would have a 100 percent chance of having a spy.

So, if there's still time, I would like to switch my vote to REJECT.

You see my point then :)

Cliges, I'm very sorry, but you are as close as it gets to cleared as far as I'm concerned. *any* team I propose would have you in it.
Besides, look at it like this: For 4-man teams, we need 4 resistance members out of the 5 in there. If you're resistance, and you don't want in on that team, it has to be absolutely 100% picture perfect in choosing the remaining 4 members of the resistance.
What are the odds of that, I ask you?

We are having good discussion in this time and everyone is apparently having fun. Game isn't terribly fast, no, but that is not necessarily a feature as far as I'm concerned. The benchmark is "is everyone happy with it".

Oh, look ..

I proposed an end to voting. I didn't call for an end. I wanted to give people time to get their last words in, change their votes and the like before I did call an end.

We need a rule that such statements have to be bolded for them to count.
As for it being gamey - yeah, that situation is something I forsaw as a possibility. Good to see it actually happening. Or getting close to happening.

So, team proposals.
Hum.

I'll be honest here. I think that out of tamius and esemesas, esemesas is the most likely spy, but I can't really tell for sure. The only hint I have that the rest of you don't is that when I tried to send him a diplomacy PM a few days ago his inbox was full. And *that* is not really a good indicator, given that he also may be playing werewolf and that inboxes filling can sneak up on people.

So on the one hand, I want to propose myself, and people don't trust me.
On the other, we already had two rejects and cliges has his no confidence card. Plus, whoever is up next may be a spy. So if this doesn't pass right now, we may lose the game on rejects.
Ugh.

@Falc - can you update the game history on the first page? Also, can you tell us who the leader would be after me?

It's Xarkan, but have you noticed it is in the second post?

No, I hadn't.
Thanks.

That history in that post is rather nice though.

I'd like to hear what people think before I make my proposal. Could every player please lay out to us what team they'd like to see this round?
I want to propose something that sounds solid to me *and* has a decent chance to pass.

That's true, but some delays could be avoided. The flip side of not rushing is is that we need not unnecessarily prolong matters.

Also, for the record, a voting log for the previous proposal:

Kingepyon, Cymsdale, Xarkan, Cliges, esemesas and AVN approved the team

tamius23 and randakar rejected the team

This was then followed by esemesas, Kingepyon and AVN changing their votes to rejections before discussion was cut prematurely short by a GM who hasn't been feeling 100% (not even 75%, tbh) for the past few days.
