Still not working after update. No RB button on the UI anywhere, the the hotkey doesn't work. Posts on Discord make it look like it's working for some. Created a new playset with only this mod, still not working.

Really nice progress since I last checked the mod! I didn't feel like the mod was mature enough for my needs at release, but I'm leaving it in my playset now. Thanks for the great work!

Aaand now to the less pleasant part, i.e. the issues. Sorry! Here's the issues I've found so far.
  • Probably well known, but sometimes segments really don't seem to like joining other segments, so the sidewalks bug out where the segments join. Thought I'd mention it for completeness's sake anyway.
  • The new Discover menu has a tendency to crash. Sometimes when I change to another page or another category, the menu closes and re-opens, but instead of the Discover menu, it's the My Roads menu that's open. When this issue occurs, it's very shortly after opening the new page/category (I think much less than a second after opening - but the new page/category does seem to open successfully before the menu closes). Downloading roads works though.
  • Narrow sidewalks don't (at least always?) work properly. Try creating a 2-unit 4-lane road with sidewalks, and you'll notice all the citizens walking next to the sidewalk instead of on the sidewalk. This was very consistent in both directions, and I did in fact not see a single citizen walk on the sidewalk, I think. My thought is that either the citizens should walk on the sidewalk or creating such a road should ideally require me to disable some safeties from the mod options (I haven't disabled any safeties).
  • Thumbnails might be a bit broken (not sure if fixed on the next game launch, since I haven't tried). There's a fairly generic thumbnail for every Road Builder road. It's the same for all roads in a category, but the Road Builder roads in each category have a different thumbnail than in any other category. This is true even for roads downloaded from the Discover menu where their thumbnails do work.
  • Sometimes the game doesn't really like intersecting Road Builder roads with vanilla roads. I tried to create a 2-unit 2-lane road with sidewalks but no parking, and I think I ended up with slightly widers lanes than the similar vanilla road with parking. When I tried to intersect it with the vanilla road I created it from by drawing it through the road at a 90-degree angle, the game just wouldn't let me. I could draw the road from the vanilla road to create a T intersection, but even then I couldn't draw my road to the other direction after that to make it a 4-way intersection.
Again, sorry for the issues! Feel free to handle/prioritize them however you'd like, just wanted to let you know what I've found so far. Thanks for the great work once more!

Most of your issues with the UI are because you have uiDeveloperMode enabled in your launch settings. You should disable this unless you're making mods
As for the rest, they're known issues which will need the asset editor to properly fix

Great mod, but when use two dividers to design side roads, lanes will be confused at the nodes and cannot be planned with 'traffic'. Vehicles can traverse divider and turn around without restriction at that.

Ooh, thanks for the tip! I've actually made a (small) mod, which is why I have it enabled. I guess I should disable it when I'm not working on the mod - I had no idea it would cause such issues. Anyway, thanks for the reply! I guess that's one more reason to be so eager for official asset mod support.

Works fine exept one thing, no electricity under roads, no matter i selected it. :( Tried to add lights and electricity still nothing. Most of the roads are useless without power.

I have encountered a problem with parallel parking. When I create them with markings, the markings are only a visual addition and are not functional - as you can see in the picture. Cars park next to each other, also on the parking lines, which looks relatively ugly. In the case of perpendicular car parks, there is no such problem. Is this a bug? Is this the way it should be (parallel car parks with signs then lose their meaning)?

I actually really like this bug because it more closely reflects reality, where drivers don't park in the lines perfectly.

Not necessarily a question about the mod itself, but - Do pedestrians walk on the "shoulder"? I want to have roads with curbless sidewalks, but I'm not sure if pedestrians actually walk on anything other than the sidewalks.

Also, what are the empty lanes used for?

Why does mod keep disappearing? I reinstalled the game today, played it, everything worked. I closed the game and the mod simply no longer works. The interface to edit, the button to select a street or anything else does not appear.

I believe pedestrians will walk on a shoulder- the gravel roads do not have sidewalks, only shoulders.

Empty lanes are used to fill a space if you want more width to make the new road exactly 2, 3, 4 or whatever units. Or if you make a new road and want to shift a piece of it to match up better with another road you can use and empty lane to do that without adding another traffic lane.

I'm getting the following error message (see attached) whenever my game loads and none of my saves will open. :(
Posting here because the message mentions this mod directly yet if I open a new map it does still seem to work.

That's exactly what I have discovered. Of course, with a lot of effort, you can use the lane connection tool to prevent lane changes and turning. But there is still no solid median. This can be partially concealed with the help of a pedestrian crossing, but how many pedestrian crossings do you want to install along the road?

A bug that I noticed in this context: If you place a bus stop on the median, the parking lane on the side road becomes a bus bay, even though the bus stops at the stop on the main street as planned and does not use the bus bay. This bug costs parking spaces on the side road.

While I haven't used the Discover modes extensively, I do have two issues. First, when switching between road types the page counter does not reset to a value relevant to the number of pages in the selected set. This means that switching from, let's say, page 12 in the Generic roads to the Tram roads will yield "No Results" since there aren't 12 pages in Tram roads. It should probably reset to page 1 whenever switching road types. This also leads to the second issue. I don't see a way to randomly access a particular page. That means this if I am on page 33 of generic roads and want to get back to page 2, I have to step through the pages rather than being able to just enter the page number I want and jump right to it.

Issues aside, this is a pretty incredible mod.
