i assume that is never good, since aside from facing a possible gameover, you face the odds of not being able to do anything if you have a chance to invade someone

This game looks better and better each time I read about it. The detail involved looks great.

Plots instead of alliances. And so many clans in northern Tohoku alone. This looks fascinating.

Is there a time limit as to how often you can bribe, erm, send "gifts" to the emperor for honor, or does it scale with size? If neither, it seems like it might make it too easy for the larger clans - how is it balanced?

There is a time limit until you can do it the next time.

Can't wait for tommorow's updates.

Btw, is Matsudaira clan in Mikawa at game start? I want to unify my Japan with the family of Tokugawa!

Pre-ordered too. But perhaps it will only make me want CK2 more ;)

It looks so good I might not wait for the 1st patch with this one...

i believe they are, but are vassals under the Hosokawa, who has influence in Mikawa at the game start. Oda is under Shiba

So you killed the osaki and the kasai in quick succession?

Bordering the Uesugi was more or less expected in your expansion. That will be a tough nutt to crack...

It was expected I just hoped I would have been stronger before it happened.

well the bright side is, many of your neighbours also border the Uesugi, and the Uesugi have a huge number of neighbours overall, so it won't be that hard to find those willing to grab a piece of this cake, no?

oh..I tought peacefull expansion was possible. But what are the uses of the 'Invite to clan' diplomatic option then?

You can invite vassals of other clans to your clan, but you cannot invite clan leaders to your clan, as they have a clan of their own already. You can force a clan leader to submit to you via a war and then his clan will become a subclan of your superclan.

OK that makes sense. Thanks for the answer.

Nice update!
I can't wait to see how the war with the Uesugi will play out. Getting Toki into the plot seems like a good plan, if you attack from 2 sides the Uesugi should have a hard time, expecially if you could get a few more inside plotters to join you. Good luck!
