Don't know if this has been announced but on Gamersgate it says "Pre-order Sengoku and get Hearts of Iron 3 for Free! Already own Hearts of Iron 3? Gift the extra copy to a friend!", and I'm pretty sure that wasn't there when I pre-ordered it. Was this the bonus that people are now getting instead of the discount?
No, this is Gamersgate specific only.
The extra special thing will be announced on the 9th.

funny thing... when i pre-ordered sengoku WITH discount, there was no free HOI3... now i look into my gamersgate profile and there is HOI3... so i got -20% AND HOI3? 
And I had to pay for my HOI3. Outrageous! Perhaps I should stop buying games and just wait to get them free from now on.

If there is to be any consistency at all, you should get the HOI3 too.
So when the special preorder bonus becomes available on the 9th, byers will get HOI3 and the special thing.
That wat everyone gets HOI3 and the difference only lies in the 20% vs the special thing.
That doesn't make any sense mate!
Ofcourse they can offer an old game with a new preorder.
Well I now own 3 copies of HOI3...2 on Gamersgate and 1 on Steam.. And I don't even like the game! :wacko:

Update: The pre-order will be up tomorrow on most digital portals but the Steam version will be released on the 15th. Hearts of Iron 3 will be the pre-order bonus on Gamersgate.

It seems Steam as usual comes late to the party, I think what dannie means is that Steam is releasing the game two days after the rest...?
Meh, nice perhaps for people that don't own the game. No reason to preorder it now for me though.
The last week has seen me go from 'massively expecting' down to 'maybe I'll get it on sale in the future one day'. I would perhaps have still considered it if we had a choice of games... I still really want Crusader Kings 1. Its pretty much the only Paradox Game that I don't own.
Still, i guess I should be grateful that you have offered a pretty good bonus; it just doesn't do anything for me.
EDIT: Actually, was there an expansion for HOI3? And will that be part of the bonus? I left my cd back home in Australia so re-buying the game and expansion for convinience might be useful. Wouldn't be the first time I have bought multiple copies for storage in multiple countries.

maybe just steam preorder will be from 15th and the game will be released somwhere in the next year
with steam everything is possible
