Same reason I prefer a 45 over a 9mil. Especially now with extended mags for the 1911. I am all inRegarding the huge monster Laser... the same TONNAGE of DP weapons instead will plaster a target.
Kilogram for kilogram, it's impractical. But it does put on a good show.
... and when you shoot somebody with it, they STAY shot.
Woulnd't the opponent hav been generated at start?Actually...
... since all of this is procedurally generated anyway... we will probably encounter our enemy in whichever direction we DECIDE to explore.
Would it be cooler if both we and the NPR opponent had to send our war-fleets THROUGH the Black Hole system in order to attack each other?
We could probably arrange that by exploring mostly in that direction. We're already over the 40 light-year mark in that sector (43.2 ly).
Very, very unlikely. The Prix don't normally leave the systems they spawn in.Is it possible for the NPR to get itself destroyed by the prix?
Could they spawn in the same system as teh NPR?Very, very unlikely. The Prix don't normally leave the systems they spawn in.
That used to be possible. Not sure if Steve changed it at some point.Could they spawn in the same system as teh NPR?
No.Could they spawn in the same system as teh NPR?
Yes. That's how this works.I thought the Prix could if you show them the jump point?
It would require the NPR to be very stupid and very unlucky, but is it possible?
Did it use to be possible that Prix spawned in Sol?That used to be possible. Not sure if Steve changed it at some point.
No, spoilers in Sol at game start was never possible. But I have had a game end to Invaders attacking Sol, and another one where Swarm did the same. Lots of players have had NPR invade Sol too. The threat is real but of course depending on game settings. It's more forgiving nowadays.Did it use to be possible that Prix spawned in Sol?
Whoops!

Look at the strength of the RADAR signature, and at the speed of the ship.
These look like late-game opponents. Invaders?
This should make Randakar very happy!
