In other news, Red 6 is approaching the inner star system.

Will he walk into our Fighter ambush?

Meanwhile, the pursuit of Red 2 continues, now at a range of under 200 million km.

Red 6 has spotted another captured Drop-ship.

Drop-ship must die!

613 plus 14 more is 627 missiles expended.

Are captured own ships a high-priority target for the enemy?

Apparently. But I suppose troop transports also qualify as high priority targets. You don't want aliens to invade after all.

I have no idea.

It would make a certain amount of sense, to deny the enemy both intel and tech boosts.

Hopefully that should deplete his stock.

Only thing is that the Deux Sèvres also carry a bunch of that and those we can tank a lot more easily. But we can't tell what ship fired it

Is this Red 2 firing at the nearest General, 186 million km away?

He'll reverse course and let the next General in line take the lead.

... or is it just Red 6, being Red 6?

Missile count 641.

Here's the combat log... three interrupts, but only two visible salvos.

Red 6 being Red 6.

Missile count 655.

They appear to be aimed at the anchorage.

Everything in there is immobilized and 90% wrecked anyway. A waste of missiles.

Everything that can still move headed for the jump point ages ago.

Somebody running out of missiles? Missile count 663.

All four of those ships should be missile boats, though. So far, only two have been firing at any one time.

Red 6 opens up with one of the other two missile boats... at our Fighters? Missile count 670.

He is welcome to fire as many salvos at those Fighters as he likes.

The missile salvos start arriving at the anchorage.

How many will our STO-PD shoot down?

The STO-PD shot down nearly half of the missiles... 6 out of 14... but the remaining 8 missiles destroyed the last surviving module of the Naval Base.

It was mostly wrecked anyway.

The Fighters are also under attack.

The salvo of seven enemy missiles killed two of our most obsolete Fighters (they were X-Wing III-B, we are currently building X-Wing VII).

A very favorable trade for us.

And more red hot anchorage action.

Is he gunning for the Troop Transport? Or the Tender?

Or is he going to obsess over the Drop-ship again?

sc-2835.jpg

It's already a bit beat up...

sc-2836.jpg

Nine of the incoming missiles were shot down by STO-PD. The remaining five missiles all hit the Tender... which survived.

At last the mask is torn aside!

That salvo is from a Lot-et-Garonne, which has 7-7-6 missile tubes.

So he still has teeth...

Missile count 697.

... and 13 hits destroys a General.

So... we now know that his heavy missile boats are NOT yet out of ammo.
