Two wrecked, one damaged.

70-ish engines or reactors. 10 engines in the troop transports. this will be similar. So 5-ish should be plenty

We're going to get a few from random wrecks, too. Or more than a few.

We.csnt interrogate crew from boarded ships?

Can enemy used a jump tender we've placed?

Are we.shippijg in colonist for Harmony?

This was a spontaneous surrender... caused by shooting at them, not by boarding.

It's called "striking their colors".

A surrender? :D

Only two drives, not 10. We had 11? engines in the troop transport, 5 reactors, and about 10 engines from the military ships. Let's say, 26. We'll need 34 more engines somehow to get to 60, which on average should be enough. 17 freighters or some combined with salvage.

How many freighters do we have so far? The surrender plus the immobilized ones?

But a freighter as expected. Good.
I presume there is no cargo -- that tends to disappear. Jettisoned?

Rat-boogers!

The Creuse Freighters won't give us any tech at all.

None.

The drives they use are the same level as ours, Solid Core Anti-Matter.

From the Modron's point of view, they are using obsolete drives in their Freighters.

Note that their CIV engine (at right, in the ship description) has exactly the same characteristics as ours (highlighted) does.

I suppose if their fuel efficiency tech is better than ours, we'll at least get that from captured Creuse engines.

If there are no useful components in their freighters, just blast them surely?

Also, I am in the xenocidal murderer group: they started it and killed our civilians, we should have no mercy with the evil murderous Xenos!

That's the tech that makes civvies slow as molasses, ritut?

They fight to the death. No prisoners.

The only way to get prisoners is to either pick up a life pod or conquer a colo
I thought they surrendered before losing the last man.

So we got the crew as prisoners I twkr?

cargo, correct.
Any way to conquer it another tjm

when people discuss this stuff it's helpful if they explain terms we haven't seen in the thread before.
It’s also helpful to remind Wagon and me. ;) :p
they had a reward system rewarding women getting 6 or more children.
Could we institute something similar
 If we can manage interstellar trade then where are the artificial wombs? is this advanced society misogynistic?
It is also somewhat more dangerous for the mother
Yah even first births can be dangerous, and Wagon wants 6+ per woman on average! (Btw, all this is somewhat tongue-in-cheek and somewhat not, simultaneously! :D)
intelligent bunnies
We’re talking about treating human women like bunnies, though. (I am joking here. Mostly! :p)
Nope, if anything, a 10% growth rate is incredible and not achievable without technological assistence, for humans. Think things like cloning.
Things like artificial wombs!
Average 40 is not even unreasonable if half the children die in childbirth and everyone else lives to 80. Surely in an advanced society
…we’d have artificial wombs! :D

Don't think so.
Nobody was saying to.force them.
Rather I thought we could reward those getting many, to.help incentive pop growth, but obviously still would be choice.

The only thing I can think of that might be useful for boosting research is that their engines might have a higher fuel efficiency than ours... this IS a tech line.

In that case, each engine dismantled would be worth about 3.5% research toward that fuel efficiency tech.

Also, I am in the xenocidal murderer group: they started it and killed our civilians, we should have no mercy with the evil murderous Xenos!

This is certainly a valid viewpoint.

The Modrons wiped out 750,000 of our colonists, plus tens of thousands of ships' crew.

And would have done more, if left unopposed.

That's the tech that makes civvies slow as molasses, ritut? - No, that's the Power Reduction tech (the other end of the Power Augmentation scale).

I thought they surrendered before losing the last man. - During boarding? No. Casualties are 100%.

So we got the crew as prisoners I twkr? - Presumably. There was no Intel result, so we didn't cross a threshhold.

Any way to conquer it another tjm - The cargo? No. It's always lost AFAIK.

Well, drat.
Salvage it is then. There should be a lot of the right engine type in wrecks.

It's of course your choice. I would love to see an invasion but of course it's also a hassle.
Maybe the offensive terraform can be used as a compromise. We definitely want the installations.

The second enemy squadron of 10 Freighters has been stopped.

Recall that the first enemy squadron of 10 Freighters ended up as 5 wrecks and 5 immobilized.

This second squadron has ended up as 3 wrecks, 5 immobilized and 2 surrendered (struck their flags).

I intend to spend the next few years building up for a home-world invasion, yes.

I declare Operation Surrender or Die a success.
To be fair, not all have them have done either. But we'll get there.

Sounds like fun :)

Definitely think we should invade.

And then slaughter them.

Have we done any research in power reduction tech.

No. None.

We've researched the opposite end of the scale (Power Augmentation) all the way to the end, though.
