I did have a question though...

As Austria, it is impossible to maintain vassals. Baden cancels after a few months, and after I diplo-vassalized Wurtemburg the same. Don't get me wrong, I rather like this feature, since it seems to prevent The Great White Blob; but if this is the case, is there a point to vassalizing anyone?

I watched this MOD and in 1460 England diplo-annexed Portugal  So it's possible.
Were you playing or was it handsoff?

Playing Brandenburg this evening, I had no trouble diplo-annexing Magdeburg. I did like, as Austria, being more or less unable to go on a German diplo-annex spree. I have also seen, consistently, Castile vassalizing Portugal, only for Portugal to break it two months later. Between 1419 and 1445, this happened twice.

Overall, although I have yet to play past 1450 (I'm having so much fun just playing around aimlessly ;) ), I must say it's great.

Well I'm trying to do something about Austria. He is still under investigation
Austria IS to become large, just don’t want him to diplo all the minor German stats to early (or not at all). It is still in the working.
I’m trying to keep at least some of the minor German stats alive for as long as possible.
PRU and BRA is two others that are also under investigation. Actually all the minor German stats are under observation at the moment.

Currently some nation has a rather hard time diplo some nations, done on purpose of course :D – like Austria/ Bavaria or Spain/Portugal – but its not impossible

Good Job. Some of the things really make sense, too, for example ceding for Ottomans and Russia. If the Ottomans controlled Crete, they weren't going to give it back to the Venetians, most likely...

Whatche mean 'some' :D - all dammit :D
Arh... some are for 'overall plan' purpose

Thanks for all the work, Daywalker. Been looking through it as part of the changes I think should be made for getting it working properly with the EEP.

As part of that, just a couple of things :-

1) In the Denmark AI_Help file, there's an event for if they find themselves in an early war with Holstein. The country tag here is HOL, it should be SHL instead.

2) Any reason you made Brandenburg's early AI's so aggressive? I think the PAI works fairly well in this area, where most of the time Brandenburg uses a fairly peaceful AI.

Great work, though, all the same. Cheers.

Install into your main EU2 folder.
As for the activities of Daywalker, that remains a mystery to me.:D

Is someone jealous?:D :p Provide some pros of using your mod over Daywalker's. I could not care less, as I use neither (at the moment)!:D

Daywalker's mod better simulates history IMHO.

This is because Daywalker's mod uses not only different AI files depending upon the countries actions during different historical periods but also enables certain AI-ONLY events that will assist the Computer AI in certain areas that it is highly deficient in.

AI files can only affect so much, much AI behavior is hard-coded, and Daywalker recognized this and to help countries overcome these deficiencies he crafted many AI-Only events that are intertwined and when working together play out very nicely.

MKJ's files are interesting in that he has new AI files everytime a monarch changes. IMHO this is not really needed, in that many countries policies or courses of action did not change all that much between every monarch. different periods or pahses need different AI's and certain monarchs need their own AI , but not every single monarch.

What's more AI files just don't really affect all that much. I still the computer doing ahistorical and stupid actions with MKJ's files.

I prefer Daywalker's MOD, but applaud MKJ for his effort at the PAI.

LAte,
Jester

Depends on what you want really, we both worked from different AI design philosophies and his is obviously more popular ;)

Sorry for the question, but is it possible using Scenario Editor with this mod ?
When I tried an error message appeared concerning the line 125 "option = { name = A.I. EXPLORE COUNTER tag = Portugal_case status = yes }". Thanks

The Scenario editor has a few bugs, such as not recognizing all the value things one can write in the different files.
Just edit your scenario before applying my ai. My ai does not change any stock files, so you can apply it when ever you want.

Thx
Soon (well soon and soon) I will release a new version.
Both countering the dreaded ’Province header event’ bug, which when used with no-standard GC setup scenarios will force ai-only events to the player, which is a bug in the province header not actually my events and the magnificent (if I may say so myself) ai explore counter event(s).
