I always wonder why in the game the Fraticelli heresy sometimes spreads like wildfire. A heresy that takes the Evangelical counsel for poverty to the extremes would, as in real life, probably not catch on.

At least Fraticelli is preferable to Jellybotti, as they say... Alternatively, it could be the Frat-parties...

Kingdom of Man, actually... but do start playing as them to get the Empire title, please.

That'll be the Brotherhood of Man then... :-O

And my contribution...

Background story: The first Emir Yusuf I, was a reckless warrior Duke and went and got himself killed while attempting to reason with a rampaging camel, so his genius attractive son takes over the throne aged 4. Thinking I'm in for 12 years of regency, I make a cup of tea and then unpause the game. In the space of his 5 day reign, each one of his father's wives, including his own mother attempted to assassinate him, as well as the vizier-regent. Finally on day 5 having survived all that, for reasons known only to the tea leaves at the bottom of my cup, the Serene Doge of Venice has a try - just for a laugh - and succeeds. Fortunately, his father's legitimised bastard with the muscles takes over aged 1, and after an uneventful regency turns into the best ruler ever! ;)

I have no idea why the Doge got involved, but Malik is an evil Fakkir, and is going to be paying him a visit soon enough...

[Screenshot is from 1120 and he has just launched an invasion of Mauretania after saving cash and piety for 20 years!]

Ok, I will hopefully contribute a bit to the thread myself, the thread is one of my favourites surely. Most of them are from 1.06/1.06b.

I will start with a couple rare culture/religion/government type combinations, created by AI. Some of them have been seen already, but nevermind.

Doge Abu of Algaid republic. I don't remember the story behind this, but it seems he held a bunch of republics in the southern Italy. Capital in Mallorca.

Theocracy in Scotland. Dynasty map mode. IIRC the Theocracy lasted over a century.

Badshah Ruprecht. The HRE went Rommel and the Kaiser had his capital in somewhere in Tunis. His heir culture flipped to Maghreb. Needless to say, when he inherited, the HRE exploded.

My kinsman Martin, Occitan Yazidi Emir who had some crusading history. I think I won a crusade, gave the lands to my relatives, who were conquered by heretical Muslims afterwards.

Yeah, old stuff but still interesting. I think this will be very rare in 1.07, judging by the changelog.

GH in Egypt, yay.
Actually what happenned is that part of Armenia and Syria got incoprorated into the kingdom of Egypt, so the mongols just used their Invasion CB on that dejure.
They actually just sieged like four counties and get 100% warscore to gain all this stuff. They did not even go south of Asia Minor.
Nonsense.
Just like the Dejure assimilation aswell.
