Decided to get back into CK2 with a nice, casual run as the Basileus in 867 and reconquering the empire from the heathens. I tried to be a good Christian Knight and joined the Order of St. Basil and all, then I start getting events about how my third son is strange and might be possessed by demons; worse there were strange, horrible things happening to my other children. Anyways, this was the result...

If you're familiar with the actual Basil II, you'll know this is incredibly ironic.

Random poster here (meaning not the one who posted the screenshot) but how do you give away unwanted lands? I mean directly to someone, not just granting independence.
He might have meant independence. Last I checked you could not give land to someone outside your realm, with one exception - Catholics can give land to the Pope.
That's exactly what I meant. Pick someone you want to give France to, give a county in France, then the Kingdom title and check the box for every title underneath it. That will result in an independent France you don't need to worry about anymore. You can give it to a dynasty member too for some more dynasty prestige and a potential ally, if you happen to have a spare that isn't going to spread claims on your lands around.

What the FUCK

Blood for the sky god!

I'm sure you could come up with a nice syncretic fusion of the Aztec, Tengri and Catholic faiths.

"All hail the great God Quetzalcoatl, who gave his life to the sky that we may live. Let this blood be his blood, ooops it already is blood ! Ha ha, isn't my face red, literally !"

"But seriously folks, in the name of the Sky Father, the Sun and the Holy Spirit - I commend this goat, these two virgins and this dry cracker to thee !"

Navarra and Jeruzalem in England ... + some UMAYYAD empire in Iberia and Brittany.

In 769 and 867 dates, it's common for the Uymayyads to take all of Iberia and expand into Brittany. This is because in these two starts, Brittany is splintered between various counts and makes easy targets for a holy war. The Moors succeed mostly, and I find it odd that nearby Carolingian realms don't help out

Spwan of Satan + Immortality. This campaign is going to be fun...

Who translated the localisation to Spanish? That sentence in the pop up is wonky as hell!
Much clearer and concise: "Batir de Huesped de Batir ha saqueado 49.48 de Udabno"
Also, I can tell the translator is a Spaniard, given the leismo in the tooltip. It should be "herirlo" since él it's a direct object.
