The year is 1460. While I was fighting in the Baltic Sea, there was an extraordinary mess around Constantinople. The Latin Empire was formed, it won a victory over the Ottomans and conquered some lands in Asia Minor. But Athens, Karamania, Genoa then Poland immediately waged war on him. A priori, the Ottomans will at least end up taking Constantinople (which is a shame) since Karamania has plasticine allies, unlike Genoa which can count on France.

The same was with Hungary and Bohemia. Bohemia was Guranteed by 2 Nations and they kept their Union through 3 kings before Hungary decided to declare Independence.

Is this new? I usually see Denmark Lose Sweden as a PU when they have high Liberty Desire but I never saw this.

Liberty desire never broke PUs on ruler death, only negative relations do. If Austria is his usual blobbed out Emperor self then I can see AI Brabant being chicken even with 4 tags which support its independence.

How come - I have 700 hours and never noticed this. This is crazy. Why did I not know this....

Because you ONLY have 700 hours. In this game you need a few thousand hours to be considered an experienced player
I only have 500 hours- am I worthy to even glance at this, the handiwork of angels?

Pretty sure it wasn't meant as an insult. It's just that you will most likely learn new things about this game with 1000+ hours in it (there is a meme that you completed the tutorial after 1444 hours, go figure...)

So to me, it is more a matter-of-fact statement.

no, it what I said is a joke- how since I only have 500 hours, I am not 'worthy' to glance at the 'handiwork of angels', i.e, eu4.

In this campaign I had The Commonwealth, Great Britain, Venice, Spain and Portugal Guarantee Morocco and Bologna. I used to have Persia and France as allies which prevented my subjects from declaring independence Even though both had 100% liberty desire. It's all about the strengths of alliances. And like others have said relations with the personal union is more important. You can have 0% liberty desire but if your relations are bad with your subject then on your king's death you will automatically lose your personal union without them having to declare independence
