Also had a similar screnshot from a couple pages ago where I can't abandon a planet, despite moving all my people out of it. Any idea how to fix?

Pause the game, switch to observer mode, give the observer ownership of the problem planet, then switch back to your empire. The problem planet will revert to a normal, abandoned state.

Xenophobic empire tries to purge it's last 34 pops, because they aren't their native population and growth doesn't happen because there are no native pops existing on that planet.

So they're basically putting themselves out of their misery? That's quite tragic actually, although if their main species have died out they are basically already put out of their misery...

Which begs the question, who is doing the purging?

My favorite one is "Noosh."

Hmm, sounds like it should work, but I can't do that on ironman can I?

The console is disabled in ironman. You will have to use the programs 7zip and Notepad++ to unpack the save file, edit it out of ironman, pack it back up as a .sav file, load the game, and then fix it. Afterwards, you can edit the save file back in to ironman. It sounds more complicated than it is. Aside from load times, the process takes about 30 seconds.

If you want to keep the game in ironman, you will have to do this each time you want to fix one of these problem planets.

Hmm, I have 7zip and Notepad++, sounds like a fun adventure. I'll give it a go, thanks!

Make a backup of your save file before you edit anything! There is a lot going on in stellaris's save files. A single erroneous character could corrupt the file.

The line you want to edit is "ironman=yes" and you want it to say "ironman=no"

This line is found in the "gamestate" file, which is found in the save file. You can't edit it until you unpack it. Use the find function (Ctrl + F) and search for "ironman" and it will take you right to it. When you repack the save files ("gamestate" and "meta"), make sure the Parameters bar says "tc=off" and that you save the file with the extension .sav or Stellaris won't be able to read the file.

The Spiritualist Fallen Empire apparently loved this guy, and will send "Pilgrim Zealots to fight for you, as well as let you settle holy worlds!

In this game I had much better luck!

My armada has become so massive that all my ships have merged together to form Voltron...I mean they appear to be fused together. Who says doomstacks are dead?
