Also had a similar screnshot from a couple pages ago where I can't abandon a planet, despite moving all my people out of it. Any idea how to fix?

I give them +1 for consistent ethics, minus several million for good sense.Xenophobic empire tries to purge it's last 34 pops, because they aren't their native population and growth doesn't happen because there are no native pops existing on that planet.
So they're basically putting themselves out of their misery? That's quite tragic actually, although if their main species have died out they are basically already put out of their misery...Xenophobic empire tries to purge it's last 34 pops, because they aren't their native population and growth doesn't happen because there are no native pops existing on that planet.

Sub-POP remnants? Leaders, basically.Which begs the question, who is doing the purging?

Pause the game, switch to observer mode, give the observer ownership of the problem planet, then switch back to your empire. The problem planet will revert to a normal, abandoned state.
Hmm, sounds like it should work, but I can't do that on ironman can I?
The console is disabled in ironman. You will have to use the programs 7zip and Notepad++ to unpack the save file, edit it out of ironman, pack it back up as a .sav file, load the game, and then fix it. Afterwards, you can edit the save file back in to ironman. If you want to keep the game in ironman, you will have to do this each time you want to fix one of these problem planets.
Hmm, I have Notepad++, sounds like a fun adventure. I'll give it a go, thanks!

My armada has become so massive that all my ships have merged together to form Voltron...I mean they appear to be fused together. Who says doomstacks are dead?

Felt invincible. Believed in the fleet strength number. What followed was not my proudest moment in Stellaris:
