Ahhhh... I usually ignore those guys in my playthroughs; either I’m gestalt or xenophobic these days. Though whenever I play xenophiles, I do interact with them on some level.

Uh... yes, I assume there is the occasional "asteroid" impact.

What mods are you using? Specifically, the Tropical World backdrop with the ringed gas giant in the sky.

I'm guessing the main mods I use affecting planets are Guilli's Planetary Modifiers and Real Space - New Frontiers. Probably the latter that's responsible for what we're seeing there, but I'm not totally sure?

Well this isn't really strange buts it is also only borderline meme material, so I put it in here.

This picture shows one of the things I'm most proud of to have ever achieved in Stellaris. A fully urbanized Worm System. 11 Ecumunopoli, 8 habitats, 1 Interstellar Assembly and 2762 pops. The entire Empire around it mostly exists only to supply this one system.
For anyone who is sceptical I attached the savefile. Not Ironman but also no console commands or mods involved.

Let's make this a challenge. Can anyone top this with an unmodded save of stellaris?

Looks like a lithoid who believes in flat planets...
Or maybe he is researching the Infinit Propability drive? I mean does need a "heart of gold".

Scientist Stalks of Gold, a lithoid.

Oh, also, 34456 days to progress.
I have seen a event that "disables the ability to do Archeology". By applying something like -1000% Archeology speed.
Propably that.

Did you assign a Traumatized researcher to the Dig Site? The game doesn't calculate progress like Arrested Development (i.e. no progress), it instead ADDS time to the roll.

The scientist is Resilient and Spark of Genius, it can't be.

I have better one. Completely forgot traumatized scientist at digging site... I did not even remember/know that can happen :D

So, my old scientist spent most of his life lobbing more dirt on top of that site, now my 15 yo scientists has to spend his entire life shoveling all that dirt away.
