Thats actually tier 1 station with two defense platforms, but it uses the old pre-2.0 fortress template for these platforms. Damn, Paradox, why do I want that functionality for myself now? Here is another one

How it happened: Spiritualist AE declared war on me infidel so I conquered them and made a vassal from their systems. That vassal is building these marvels.

The event with self-modification on low habitability planet was never fixed then. And its end result is two more traits for three genetic points to your species at the cost of two pops dying and xenophobe faction spawning. Just make sure the planet is terraformed to your preferred climate before the event ends.

The Kohtalo sure is packing a lot of firepower for an unarmed ship.
Extragalactic ship? Check
Wierd and wonderful component set not findable anywhere else in the game because of said extragalacticness? Not check
:(

So midgame my hyperlanes abruptly dissappeared, and do not re-appear when I restart my computer and load the game, or even if I start a new game. At first I was hesitant to report it as a bug because I'm running a ton of mods, but I still have the problem if I disable all of them, so I will report this.

The reason why this happened to you is because of one button, which is not active. It is on a right-bottom of screan and looks like two hyperlans connecting three stars.

This would have been a really interesting crisis/event chain - especially if it happened a little at a time. That is how fallen empires form...

This isn't exactly strange, but rather...funny?
I started a new game and wanted to change my race a bit before I did.
I removed Tomb World preference as it was a bit more lackluster than I had hoped.
5 years into the game:

(There were 3 more Tomb Worlds that didn't fit on the list too.)

Something reaaaaaaaly bad has happened in your galaxy...

The named Tomb Worlds are all part of the same system generator, so that's no so amazing. Five random ones is a bit exceptional, though.

I guess this is how you know your part of the galaxy had a Fanatic Purifier in a previous cycle.

I've also stumbled upon those. Some ruins of a fallen civilization. All situated in a single cluster.

That's the source of the Ketlings if you leave it alone.

There goes the galaxy, Bob.

Ah yes, the old "The Unbidden try to run back to defend their portal but since FTL got reworked they always arrive 2 years too late and sit around being sad and shiny" bug.

You know if they just kept everything in that massive doom stack they'd still have enough to possibly take the galaxy.

Let's also take notice that each of their fleets are, like, 65k. I assume this is 1x crisis? What a tragedy that the base crisis fleet strength is HALF of what players can achieve by then.
