Please be considerate of all the modder’s efforts to keep mods up and running when the code for the base game changes with the update. Some of us had access to the update early, and most of that group had spare time to get updates/patches ready. I have updates or patches ready for all 4 of my existing mods. The game is scheduled to update at 1 am in my time zone (PST). I hope to be awake around 6 am (PST). I will hopefully have all 4 mods updated/patched before I go to work.

All my mods including this one have been updated for v1.1.5 of the base game.
 
Hii, i am not sure what exactly is wrong but the tree controller keeps failing to load after i updated to the new patch. Today is the first day i have loaded up the game after monday's update.

Make sure both the game and the mod are up to date. I can’t really tell from the pop-up errors. I would need player.log and modding.log from your logs folder at %AppData%/../LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/player.log and …/logs/modding.log.

Anyhow get them both up To date and you should be fine. Mix matches with old version of tree controller and new version of game or vice versus will result in this type of error.

I had the same issues, but it was not only the tree mod.
What I did is the following:

1. Close Skyve (if using it)
2. Delete your cached files in the Mods folder in:
C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\.cache
3. Restart Skyve and let it load all mods again. For me Skyve also told me it needs an update.

After restarting the game, all mods were back.

Thanks for the advice, i don't use Skyve, but i have tried to remove the cache, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to help
 
I'm unable to change the tree types on roads. I can only change the age/size of the default trees. Is my mod messed up or is there some kind of conflict? I am able to change tree types on buildings, etc. it's just not working on roads.

Also is there any way to adjust the spacing of trees on roads?

I don’t recommend trying to change tree types on roads, I disabled it with two of the selection methods because of the problems with it. You can do it with radius and whole map selection if you want to try it. The problem is they revert as soon as you touch the road at all or if a building spawns on it. I have enough experience with BB and another mod coming soon to where I might be able to pull it off now, but a friend of mine and I were just discussing this. You can do custom street trees with Anarchy and you have a lot more flexibility over how you want it look, it’s just more work on the player compared to it being done in tree controller.

No, there’s more to the mod that that one feature, although that was probably your favorite feature and the way you interacted with the mod most.

I have "Disable Tree Growth" toggled on but keep seeing trees turning into their dead models here and there, is there something else I have to do to make it stop the growth properly or is it bugged? :)

I can review it. Can you double check that your settings to see if they reset at some point? Trees in lumber industry should continue to grow. There’s a log file in %AppData%\…\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines 2\Logs\Mods_Yenyang_Tree_Controller.log or something very similar that you could send me. This specific situation should be documented there. You can always use the tools to change the tree age to whatever you want, but it would be better if the growth disable worked the way you want. I don’t play with this setting myself, so it doesn’t get as much testing done directly by me.

That log is actually less helpful than it used to be for this. I had to rework the setup and I was remembering the old one. When I tested the Disable Tree Growth Option this morning, I didn't have any issues. No trees outside lumber areas grew at all with the option enabled. I can give you instructions on how to verify it's working with scene explorer mod if you don't believe me or want to verify yourself.
 
Any chance we can get functionality to prevent trees from dying of old age? Maybe a button we can click to prevent the tree death stage, except for those that die from fire or other disasters.

There's an option to disable tree growth, but there is not an option with tree growth, but without death. There is a tool that lets you change the age of any tree.

Im also having the same issue as the other poster. I'm having some trees dying with growth disabled. I'm not sure what's causing it. I have disasters disabled.
