It wasn't finished until after the game was released, as was the case with every mod except Age of Timur (created by Garbon, one of the FtG developers) and AGCEEP (developers of which created FtG).
It's also a 40 MB download. That might put some people off. (Then again, the whole game is download-only, so we're pretty much cutting out dial-up users from the get-go.)My guess would also be that either Kasperus or Cool-toxic don't want their work to be commercially distributed, because there's nothing else that would keep Watkabaoi from being included in a patch, right?
I also know for a fact that Kasperus does not want any of his work in a commercial release.
No mod has nearly as many events as the AGCEEP, and WATKABAOI is no exception, unfortunately. It has more events than the vanilla version of the game, and it uses events created specially for the EU2 mod AoI (extending the time frame to 1337 and 1914), but it still has far less events than AGCEEP. IIRC the period covering 15th to 19th centuries is covered better than the 14th century though.I adore the map that this mod uses but I've mostly only played AGCEEP before installing it and I'm finding the events a bit lacking so far. Do they pick up later on?
It's not dead at all.
