There is nothing hapening... Is this mod without events?
BTW, this I put in EU3 wishlist but I think ir will be interesting to read here too:
I would like that there would be option for sunni state to play as "islamic state" - as true califate or emirat should be. When I will say "muslim country" - by that I will mean ordinary sunni state not Islamic state (IS) which depends on size and ambitons will be emirate or califhate...
There would be some advantages and disadvantages.
The worst disadvantage would be that you must play highly honest.
If you would do something shameful - country should fall apart - -6 stability, revoltrisk +25 ( :rofl: ), badboy +50, almost comlete army desertions etc.
In others words - there should be consecvences. (Sorry for latenglish...)
Bet there could be options for coup et ... (sorry for latfrench) - that some caliph or emir would turn to the pig end change islamic state to just a muslim country or some king of musilm country would do oposite.
Islamic country:
~-5 revoltrisk in muslimprov (not counting sliders created -revoltrisks) - muslims want islamic state
reduced or no revoltrisk increase in different culture muslimprov- no nationalism and tribalism between musulim brothers.
Also lower or no penalties for different cultures in muslimprov in economic and manpower etc spheres... Every Islamic state gats arabic as state culture, too. Random event that some muslim province turn to arabic culture.
Cheaper army units.
In case of armed jihad muslim provinces send a money and solders and going up high manpower. (Muslims give their money and sons. Nonmuslim provinces does not change.)
Jihad can be declared (in some cases should or else caliph or emir lose lot of credibility) if some near musulim country is atacked by nonmuslim country. No badboy in this case. Jihad can be declared against pagan countries, and against other countries (muslim and nonmuslim alike) if their ruler is disgusting opressor (possibly historic evilmens like Ivan Grozni, muslim and jews exterminaters ir Spain, and others "Daraculas"... But maybe in some case possibly if some ruler is very intolerant against another religion, have badboy or somthing this...)
Surely if there is near some country were they are several muslimprov under nonmuslim power or even one muslimprov but country do not tolerate muslims... And ofcource jihad is in case of defence war.
If some far muslim country is attack islamic state is obligated to send them money and soldiers (much of it would be just in economic and manpower expenses becouse much of it would be muslim populance duty...).
But there would be very hard or impossible to do imperialistic wars - lack of manpower becouse of lack of willing to fight. Also there will be sharp decline in military statistics and desertions... There should be graduation when imepialistic war will destroy islamic state and when it can capture some small state by lot of penalties...
In case of war in muslim provinces there would not be war exaustion for very long time, and it would be small. But not in case of nonmuslimprov.
Lower production and litlebit lower trade income (as normal standart taken from sunni country in EU2) in muslim prov (becouse zakat - muslim tax is not high, and for game balance could take that muslims are better traders than manufactors

)), but in nonmusulim prov just litlebit lower production and litlebit lower trade income (becouse jizna - nonmuslim men tax for is mostly higher that zakat, but for game balance could take that nonmuslims is better in production but weaker in trade (yee - I know - thats fun... But this ir litlbit fantasy option...)).
Zakat wouldnt affected be war etc bet nonmuslim would. From nonmuslim there would not be manpower (OE was not real caliphate btw) exept if in case of war there is voluntiers from enemy border provinces. But there could be rebels, too...
IS will recieve only year taxes - no monthly taxes. Every province will recieve zakat and jizna tax collector automaticaly but revoltrisk consequnces will be only in nonmuslim provices.
More merchants and higher trade efficenty. (Or something depends on new situations. I like thought about trade routes.)
Better populance growth than nonmuslim countries. (Poliginy solves man deficit problem after wars. High value of children. Forbidence of infanticide and unreasable abortions. Family as part of islamic lifestile and religion.) But worse growth in cold and north areas exept for historical places in Dzhungaria, Khazahstan, Golden horde succesors etc.
Muslims have very high mobility. That means they could overtake some small provinces by migrations but western type colonization was rare...
So I think there is no reason for colonist penalties. Only problem with colonization is native problem who can not be killed.
But this migration could mean that some provinces (nonarabic) could turn to the state culture if this state culture have lot of populance.
Some another provices culture or even with state culture could turn to arabic culture becouse of religious reason.
Islamic state (IS) would be with better efectivness of misionaries. They would recieve unlimited misionaries. More random religios convertions.
There would no penalties for religious in innovativness becouse its EU2 flaw - islam do not oposite innovativness as it is with cristianity or confucism.
Islamic state would have problems with colonisation if natives are agressive becouse it is not allowed to kill them.
Islamic army can not loot. Islamic state can not hire pirates...
There will be limited possibilities in religion settings. Like - sunni = max, christians (together - it is not impotant what kind) litlbit less - by 2 degree, becouse shia must be better if they are seen as muslims. And pagans (politeists) - the worst.
High possibility for how to see shia: 1) they are not muslim but only liars and apostates - the worst 2) they are our brouthers who do not understand that there is nothing about imamate in Koran - almost maximum tolerance.
Similary there ir how to see sikh, zoroastrian or hindu or some "pagan" nations: 1) they are pagans - 2) to see in their religion what is positive from Islam view - monoteism... So worst minus or something milde - lower than christians and jews...
No nationalism penalty in both cases - Islamic state or muslim country, in conquered muslim provinces...
Both cases know map - the way to Mecca. Also muslim countries and IS (islamic state) in Middle East know map where was Ummayid and Abbasid "caliphates".
Relations between IS and far muslim countries is going up. But with near muslim countries depends on situations. In some cases IC is seen as defender, supportes or event some kind of light suzerein but in another case near muslim country will see IS as dangerous becouse it would feel that it is their muslim duty to be annexed by IC.
Posibly if IS is emirate - small IS it is not seen so questioning legitimate of muslim country as in case of IS as caliphate...
For IC is easer to anex muslim country.
Caliph is elected. There shoud be shown their abilities in economic and military, at least as it is thought. In real life it could turn another way. Stats must be good couse they are chosen, but not too 5 stars in ecenomic couse they are bisy in prayer

In case of slighty imperialistic war their stats would fall drastisticly becouse of diobeydence and disunity and disorder but in case of jihad their military stats are 5 stars (people have huge morale) but administrative goes down (in economic terms) becouse people is bisy and had to spend their money to support jihad...
In DP sliders:
Plutocraty, becouse islam have no aristocrates bet have welthy people. So there can not be more that +4 aristocraty. Dispate settings cavalery in plains and desrets would be cheap but ships still be quite expensive. Ofcource not in indonesian IS case...
Islamic State wich turn lower that +4 centralization turn to muslim country. Othervise caliph (or emir if IS is small) can not control governors (in historical mean no EU2).
More land less navy. Becouse army is more built only in war time or jihad anouncens time on voluntiers - cheap land units. In case of jihad merchants could give some ships for jihad time. The same with jihad army - voluntiers - only for jihad time.
I wouldnt say narrowmindness becouse in islam there is no contradictions. So even as it is kept on full religioness still there is no innovativness penalty. In case of muslim country there could be tiny penalty becouse there rules king not islam...
Defence or Offence? There could be limitations ir offence if there is no jihad reasons. So it means that IS could sit on defence and even lose high ofence settings after jihad if there is no legitime reason for offence war... But for game balance there could be expensive fortress. So I see IS in this game as offence state which stand on place.
Free thinking or serfs? Serfs surely not! But heresy surely not, too!

Surely free trade is what islam is argue. Limitations is only about how and what to trade...
Quantity or quality? Hmmm. From one side army is not professional (exept standing army which can be only defence limits in case that there is no jihad long time preparings) but from another side it have huge morale... So they are skill can be low but morale shocking high...
So Disadvantages is that lower income (only yearly) and must play very honorable othervice country will fall apart. How low income and how fair and what is penalties must be decided by game balace considerations...
Advantages is that quite good elected rulers, cheap army and free in case of jihad... Unbreakable stability in muslim provinces exept when ruler do not honorably as he should, easer to convert another religions, also no or almost no penalties in diferent cultures in muslim provinces.
By becoming Islamic State gets good DP settings but it can be limited to change...
When I will remember something I will add. Without this "fantasy" options I wanted to add that there is no contradiction in islam between religiosness and innovativness.
In my EU3 wishlist (old link is dead?):
1. More buildings. They are what to do when standing. Othervice it is boring to play country and not be at war. Especially minors.
2. More historical standing events. For the some reasons. But surely not rebel events. There is nothing interesting in rebels. Just geting tired or cheat.
3. I agree with those who talk about trade routes and province infrastructures...
4. Lot of events. Lot. Not too long but LOT! This is reason how I choose which country to play (I play muslim countries or edit countries as muslim

))). Events make countries interesting or boring. For granada or this kind (after 1492) there should be fantasy events for human player.
5. If there would be something as autosend then it must be done good couse manualy is too much micromanagment. In EU2 there was need to show to autosend to which COT send merchants... There could be colonist autosend. There must be notificator about your country interests - like if your vasals breks vasalage.
6. Historical adviser. He must say what to conquer know what left for later to ber historical and get events. Tell not to build manufactory there becouse in 1546. year you will recieve it by event. Or if province already have manufactry - give an option to put it in another.
7. Cheaper cavalery in plains and some deserts. Cheaper ships in woods provinces, expensive in desert provinces...
8. MAX button in barrack and shipyard. Also put comand that docks build like 20 ships one after another.
9. I am shocked that there will be only 2000 prov. Thats a MYMAP! (I wanted some 2500-3000.) I wanted that there will be interesting to play in Africa and so... (I am not intersted in Europe...

10. Natives across the border could turn to army and pillage your province. So you need to keep there standing army. Natives would turn in some kind of vassal. Natives would have their own flag. As rebels too. Some rebels would join one but fight against another rebels. They could have their own historic leaders. Their captured provinces would be with their flags.
