he did only do the icons but i meen that we can use the icons

Yes. But if we make Orthodoxy seperate from Catholicism we could make Byzantine city images! Then we would have seperate Western (Medieval style, with stone churches, wooden houses), Byzantine (Byzantine churches, houses) and Arab (default) city images!

Yes that sounds like a great idea

, the American ones won't be used anyway.

I had the idea of usig the American (OHI) for the European Pagan tribes and Vikings (with a few modifications).
Vikings would be odd though, the Viking Age only lasted from the 9th to the 11th century. An Alternative Muslim/Persian one would be better IMO.

I mean the people who live in Scandinavia. They lived in wooden long houses. And the raids started around 800, so still in game timeframe.

Maybe we could make the Maya city image into a Persian one.

Then you shouldn't have called them Vikings :p

But really, this game is about the Middle east, I think that area deserves most of the cool graphics that's available.

They already have an Arab image. And then we could add a Persian. I don't see what else they could have.

Any proposals?

I'm not sure :D
Perhaps just an alternative one or something. Giving one to Scandinavia during this timefram is just, wierd IMO.

Not only Scandinavia but anyone that lived in some sort of wodden citadels/villages. It was very common at that time.

I have a general question ....

Is it possible to modify some regions of MyMap to better fit to our scenario? Southern Italy is the area I'm mostly thinking about. To simulate Roman-Arab activities there correctly it has to be far more detailed in both province shape and province numbers. Other areas are good AFAIK but Southern Italy *definately* needs a modification.

Is it possible that we modify MyMap to achieve that? Are we allowed to do that?

Cool! Thank you. ;)

Here are my suggestions (you can remove provinces in America if you run out).

The black spot is where the city should be.

Key: (Province Name, City Name, Culture, Religion, Terrain)

1. Calabria, Crotone, Greek, Catholic, Mountain
2. Basilicata, Taranto, Italian, Catholic, Plains
3. Apulia, Baris, Greek, Catholic, Plains
4. Salerno, Salerno, Italian, Catholic, Mountains
5. Catepano, Foggia, Italian, Catholic, Plains
6. Benevento, Benevento, Italian, Catholic, Mountains
7. Napoli, Napoli, Italian, Catholic, Plains
8. Capua, Capua, Italian, Catholic, Plains
9. Lazio, Roma, Italian, Catholic, Plains
10. Spoleto, Spoleto, Italian, Catholic, Mountains
11. Ancona, Ancona, Italian, Catholic, Plains
12. Umbria, Perugia, Italian, Catholic, Mountains
13. Romagna, Ravenna, Italian, Catholic, Plains

14. Sicily, Panormos, Italian, Catholic, Mountains
15. Siracusa, Syrakuse, Greek, Catholic, Plains
16. Messina, Messene, Greek, Catholic, Mountains

The other pictures are just small border corrections in Africa and Arabia (it is strange if you are Arab that you have to conquer Sinai before invading Syria). The Trebizond extension is just to make the later Roman-Arab border nicer. It is not really necessary but would be nice. ;)

<pic>
America was in different Idgrid region, nothing to do with that ;) . Base on that picture there was 5 new provinces that should add in Italy. And Italy IDgrid was full now, so If we want more detail in italy must simplified in other area in the same IDGRID region.
So what 5 unimportant provinces in that time frame should remove for that like in balkan, German , Turkish or franche
