is merger provs names still Romagna??? and with this merger that in overlapping IDgrid region allow me to split up Sea in south France and add one provs in Arabia.

Yes, still Romagna. Capital Ravenna.

And yes, feel free to add one Arabian province. More Arabian provinces can only be better for the mod. ;)

Also split up the sea in southern France.

I thgink that there should be also one more province for Arabia

Unfortunately I can't give you any map, but there was region called Yamama
aproximate localization of Yamama:

btw, what about to remove PTI's from Arabia and make it very low populated provinces called by names of deserts? Rub al-khali etc.
for the rise of islam they were also important so maybe they could deserve own provinces

The areas that are PTI in MyMap (except for the modern-day UAE, that is PTI for gameplay reasons) really are uninhabitable and uncrossable by anyone and anything. Even the bedouin don't go there.

You've basically added in the UAE here, and that's cool. You can extend it right up to the border of Suhar if you want, since that whole area is pretty habitable. Some parts are downright pleasant.

Interior Arabia really doesn't need more than 2 provinces, since it's brutally poor (pre oil anyways) and usually only has one or at the most 2 major powers at a time.

it was just an idea

Rub-al-Khali probably wasn't the best example. Perhaps Syrian desert?

I'm not sure how much they were/are inhabitable - never been there :)

I have found a way to easy convert the units from CK to EU2:

I'll do more when i get some time also could a admin please tell if it's legal to upload them.

here is my concept for Arabia, soon as it will be in my project "Regions of medieval Europe"

Are the coloured parts states?

Looks good.
nope, those are regions of:
Bahrain, Yamama, Najd, Hijaz (all those green), Asir, Tihama, Yaman, al-Ahqaf, Hadramwt, Mahra, Gharra and 'Uman.

details you can see in "our" AU forum.

But you are right, in various periods, those "regions" created states one with another.
Hijaz inclined mostly to Egypt, Asir and Hadramwt and Tihama were mostly ruled by Yemen, but had periods of independence, Mahra was mostly part of Hadramwt and 'Uman and Bahrayn inclined to Persia

Gharra, al-Ahqaf, Najd and Yamama were inhabited by nomadic tribes that were very seldomly subordinated to anyone

the "province" in those 4 regions mostly means "tribal area" with capital in themost important oasis. (the same is also in most of Hijaz)

Similar scheme I will use for Sahara

I know I meant it throuout history :)

at the start (632) every province is independent as it means tribal area.

I could make a map where I would use tribal names so it would be political map
