I've got 1.09 eng patch but installed over the 1.08 eng patch over 1.07 polish patch over 1.00 polish version of EU2 - might that be responsible for crashes?
English language patches works fine with polish version of EU2 only the map is from orginal (polish province names). EU2.exe came from patch - so it should work...

Unknown's site is apparently gone. This is a very simple mod to do yourself though; just a single byte change with a hex editor. Much simpler than the "run while minimized" or "resolution change" mods. There's a post on the first page with detailed instructions for making the change using Hex Workshop.admiral drake said:does anybody have a update on this crap btw ?
tryd the link of unknown and it gives me some weird japanese jahoo post
The window is whatever size you have the game's resolution set at. If you have the game set to 800x600 and your screen is 1600x1200 then it will only take up a quarter of the screen. To make the window larger than 1280x1024 you'd need to do the resolution mod in addition to the window mod; the res mod is a bit more difficult than the window mod and also has a problem with scrolling using the mouse at high resolutions.admiral drake said:well figured it out anyway, 1question tho is there any way to make the window bigger ? right now its only like half my screen

Or use the EU2 configuration tool found in the EU2 folder. Max. resolution is 1280x1024 IIRC.admiral drake said:k tnx for the info ill reduce my screens resolution whenever i play eu2 then
Just use a hex editor. Search for the string of bytes 00 00 00 00 8B 4D 08 89 0D and change the first "00" to "01". (Make sure you make a backup copy of EU2.exe before editing it.)Kris Rhodes said:The link to psswitch.exe is broken. Anyone know where one can get it now?

Make sure you don't have an IM program or something running in the background. That's the usual cause of flickering.licker said:Never mind, I forgot to reset the colors...
It still frigging flickers though.
If you mean have a window larger than your actual screen resolution that depends on your video card/drivers. I know there are some that will let you have a "virtual desktop" that is larger than your actual display size.BurningEGO said:I am curious... If i put my game on a higher resolution, like 1280x1024, the eu2 "windowed mod" will have a large screen and only a portion of it will actually be used. Is there someway to reduce the screen size and at the same time play eu2 with windowed mod and at 1280x1024 resolution?
