Would be nice if we could select more colors too. The selection is extremely limited :(

Being able to change your flag and colors later on would also solve these issues.
Howdy, Serenity. I look forward to your help with more CK2 questions in due course. Just hanging over here on the Stellaris forum for now...but I'll be back!

Very nice stuff. Still upset that there's no way to turn off the hyperlanes when you don't need them. I NEVER RESEARCH HYPERLANES BECAUSE THEY MAKE THE GALAXY LOOK SO UGLY!!!

How is it possible to research any other basic "starting" drives but the one you chose? They never are available to my empires.

Maybe also make so can select the entire ship-class to split it from the fleet? Because y'know, it's really...let's say 'tiresome'...to pick every, blasted, ship of chosen class:rolleyes:

I think he meant the "reveal hyperspace lane FTL" research.

The tech name is "Hyperlane Mapping". You can find it on stellaris tech wiki page.

edit: a typo.

Is there any plan to increase the actual number of flag colors, or would the ship and map color additions make that harder to implement?

Additional colours would be such a nice thing. Would definitely make the game feel less superficial. As well as trade fleets, though there is a nice mod for this already.

Never heard of that, really. Hyperlanes will never show up when I am using other FTL drives. But never mind, it's not a big issue.

I have seen this tech. It is not that super rare or anything.

IE for example, If I am playing with all FTL type enabled. I am playing as either Warp or Wormhole FTL empire. There is an empire with hyperspace in galaxy. The tech will show up.

If I only allow either Wormhole or Warp then this tech won't show up especially since no one is using the hyperlanes.

Actually the tech will still show up. I've got a warp only game going currently and hyperlane mapping has popped up in my options quite a few times.

Weird. I thought there would be a check to see if there was any hyperspace faring empire. Oh well.

nice.
please give us an option to view galaxy in 2d. it'll be a very good QoL addition to the clarity

I'm disappointed by that map picture, I still see no yellows, magenta, lots of other primary and secondary colors that would work just fine, and it still shows many repetitions. I use a mod that allows like 50 different colors and it works just fine, I don't see why this very simple change can't make it into the game.

That reminds me, have they revealed what "Armageddon Bombardment" does yet?

Not yet.

I'd guess it wipes out the population and leaves the planet uninhabitable or a Tomb World, and is only available to Fanatical Purifiers. I'm glad something like that's coming from a thematic point of view, it doesn't make sense in a Sci-Fi/4x setting that apparently interstellar war fleets can't do all that much harm to undefended planets, while mere atomic age primitives can easily trash their planet (more in keeping with the setting but especially jarring by contrast). Much better for the Stellaris setting to establish that of course our fleets *could* ruin planets but decent, galactically acceptable civilisations wouldn't do such a thing, and the cultures that would are crazed maniacs that everyone else hates. That should sustain and even improve the setting without breaking the game mechanically.

I'm a little bit confused - he said empires using the same flag color will now have slightly different colors on the map, which is fine... but there's been no confirmation of any new actual selectable flag colors... however... if you look closely at some of the more recent screenshots, the empire he's using has a yellow color in the flag that is not currently selectable in-game. Can we get a confirm/deny about whether or not we have any new actual flag colors incoming in banks?

Thanks
