The "major" part is key there. If the major Albanian migrations into Greece begin around 1337, then why do Arvanites exist as a culturally distinct group from other Orthodox Tosk Albanians?
No respect for the man who decides the content of the game in the Balkans... if he wanted to tell us, he would have already told us.@Aldaron have you gotten to the serbian Bulgarian ethnic border or no
There should just be a bot that responds "no" whenever someone asks if a suggestion has been implemented, it'll never be wrong. No respect for the man who decides the content of the game in the Balkans... if he wanted to tell us, he would have already told us.
Yes i dont argue with the minority in Diber and Devoll i personally would treasure it, the majority however doesnt reflect the period of that time, because in 1337–1500, the Diber region was firmly within the sphere of Albanian feudal lords, occasionally under nominal Serbian or Ottoman suzerainty but never under significant or lasting Bulgarian control. The people were Albanian in language, custom, and governance. This claims and pseudo researches are modern nationalist fabrications lacking medieval historical support. The 20th-century Bulgarian nationalist that you mentioned (especially during the Interwar and Communist periods) were politically motivated, aiming to justify territorial claims over Macedonia and parts of Albania. In additon these claims retrospectively try to “Bulgarianize” figures like Skanderbeg or entire regions that had no Bulgarian identity in the Middle Ages.I just want slavic Minority in ALbania
With majourity in Debar and Devol
Early Mentions of Albanians in Epirus:It is the big migrations into Epirus what has not yet happened according to the sources I have read.
Your indignation is duly noted, thank you for your service backseat paradox moderator.Jesus Christ some of you guys sound so entitled, it comes across as really cringe. Look, even if your write a 5000 word essay on why your proposal is more historically accurate, it doesn't mean the devs should unconditionally add it, because someone else can come in and write a 7000 word essay on why you are wrong. The simple fact is that we simply don't have much accurate data for this region and most of the map setup decisions have to be based on informed guesses. Yes, maybe there's a 80% chance your proposal is right, but for most of these decisions the devs have already made their choices, and going back and making changes costs dev time, dev time that can be spent on making other parts of the game much deeper.
Similarly, can you stop guilt tripping the devs for not implementing feedback from this thread yet? We still have 3 whole continents (Asia & the Americas) that haven't had their first batch of review, and the Balkans are clearly muuuch more detailed than those regions right now. The devs will come back to this feedback once it makes sense logistically.
It made me sick seeing these posts with sarcastic jabs at the devs for not respecting your feedback with several likes. If anything, I admire the devs for not locking this thread already based on how toxic it got, just so we can keep suggesting our ideas, even this late into development.
At the end of the day, you chose to spent this much time writing feedback, you weren't hired / payed by Paradox and they don't owe you anything. Some of your comments here sound like you expect the devs to bow to you and kiss your feet for your work. Remember that having a dev team that respects our feedback this much is a privilege, not a right. And them ignoring your feedback isn't an insult to your work, it's just a respectful "sorry, our visions don't align here".

You are right, like disagreement even if is strong or emotional doesnt mean people are entitled. Just cause someone say "please" or "thank you" doesnt make their opinion more right or more polite than someone who talk direct. Not everyone need to act like devs are kings-there is big difference between respect and worship.Jesus Christ some of you guys sound so entitled, it comes across as really cringe. I love how he's on a php forum complaining about post length, as if this is twitter with a character limitAnd saying it "made you sick" how people reply? Thats just dramatic bro. This community is not all same - some write big essays, some keep it short, some just say what they feel. That’s normal in forums. The important thing is if devs can see through the noise and understand the good ideas behind it.
Lmao yeah exactly, like if ppl wanna write essays let them. It’s a forum not TikTok. That other dude acting like dev time gets stolen every time someone types more than 3 paragraphs.I love how he's on a php forum complaining about post length, as if this is twitter with a character limit
>Nooooooooo don't effortpost in the suggestion thread!
Yeah tbh you have a point. I saw that too in some other requests, like the culture colours or even some basic stuff, and its not like that should be super hard to fix. But I also get the devs probably got their bucket full right now. After I watched the gameplay from Ludi and Quarbit, I noticed too - no historical events like Ottoman expansion, fall of Byzantines, Serbian empire dissolution etc. At least in the Balkans, where I was looking most. But then I realised, that wasnt finished work, so maybe that’s why they’re asking for more feedback now.Im preety sure the current complaining only started after people got to see the betafrom the youtubers and saw that the only thing that changed since the last feedback was greek culture colour. Not even the aromanian albanian one were changed meaning even one of the very first posts of this thread, my post on page 2, was ignored or discarded despite it exclusively being concerned with the culture colour and nothing else. That doesnt put much faith in the effort put into the feedback process.
Bro I wrote a huge post myself earlier in this thread, I have nothing against that, and I commend you for spending like 50x the time I spent on researching your posts. Nor am I here to defend the dev's choices, I also have my disagreements. I'm just trying to point out that the tone of some of the messages here is super edgy. I'm also not here to moderate you, keep on with your "raw unfiltered feedback" if you want, that's up to the mods. I'm just trying to keep this thread from derailing and getting blocked, so we can keep with the useful constructive criticism. That other dude acting like dev time gets stolen every time someone types more than 3 paragraphs.
Ok sure I admit I was bit dramatic to get my point across but I do get some sort of ick from some of the replies in this thread. Like wtf is "No respect for the man who decides the content of the game in the Balkans" lmao - and no I'm not saying that we owe the devs respect and we should "suck them off", I'm just saying that maaaaaybe people making comments like this is cringe when they don't understand dev cycles and how maybe the devs haven't had any time to get to their feedback yet, especially when their feedback is 10 pages long spread across 15 posts (again so you don't misinterpret me - nothing wrong with that - it's just that it takes a lot of dev time to review).Thats just dramatic bro
