Will you include these population changes in the next patch? Of course, populations also need to be adjusted in other regions, for example Western Europe. Populations should generally be lower there than in the rich East.

And I photocopied some maps of SE-Asia in the 600+ period a few months ago. If you need them and if I find them, I'll post them here. ;)

I have now added them in, mostly. A few of the low pop. cities (below 5000) didn't get quite as low as they should have been (one reason is that I haven't changed the pops for other countries)

Would probably be nice.

Here is what it seems to be going to look like at the moment.

Cities:
in Champa:
North -> Indrapura
South -> Panduranga
Lampang: Hariphunchai
Khmer: Vyadhapura
Laos: Isanapura
Kwai: Thaton

New countries:
Langkasuka(MLC) - Perak & Malacca
Pyu(MYA) - Mandalay (city: Sri Ksetra)
Dvaravati(DAI) - Bangkok (city: Nakhon Pathom)

Of course I'm still working at getting it as good as possible so it may look somewhat different, and we must not forget that things may not look exactly the same on all starts.

Uploaded new version where such things are done. I almost missed to include a proper 632.eug for the EU2 1.09 users, but made a quick fix (made easier by the fact that the only real change is that "han" should be "chihan").

I'm having trouble with getting this to work. I'm playing 1.09 and I've followed your setup instructions, but when I go to play the EU2 I've installed the scenario on, it says:

--- excel file not found
---
Do you wish to continue?

A little help? Thanks in advance.

You did setup the moddir, right? Then you followed the instructions in the 476 EU2 109 Readme.txt, and fixed the map folder and the province.csv, right? If you did this and didn't miss anything, then I unfortunately don't know what the problem might be. :(

Merry Christmas everyone. I have just uploaded a mini-update, it is almost all I have done since the last version. The main part is a bunch of shields that I recently made. They are probably not historical. If anyone with better graphic skills then me would make better versions and add flags I would be grateful, however I hope you all think they aren't too bad :)

One thing I'm curious about, all you that play this scenario, what country (or countries) do you find the most fun/interesting to play, and why?

Hey, I'm really enjoying this version so far :)

My favorite is the Franks, though I kind of messed things up at first by trying to take out the other kingdoms after the empire split up, not realizing that it would eventually reunite again.

Playing as the Caliphate in the 632 scenario is pretty cool as well, I just had to look at the event files to see what I was supposed to do, as the Byzantines and Persians are too powerful to take on otherwise.

All in all it's been great so far, I hope we get to see a version of this scenario for EUIII :D

OK, so where can I download this mod?

One of the files/folders wasn't copied or renamed. try it again, following the instructions closely. :)

gents I dl'ed this tonight and fired up a Frank game. some nice work so far, its a refreshing change. I know some of the period history but I really don't know what to expect. I don't intend to read any event files.

a few questions..
1) when is the enddate? EDIT: I see 819. ok.
2) my pagan franks could not trade in the gallo-roman COT (the only one I tried). I could send merchants, I could knock others out, but I would have no merchants on display, not would I get income or useful grain for troop support. bug or wad?

to followup: my pagan franks could trade in other COTS but activity in Orleans was still as above. I loaded as Romans and could trade in that COT. so could AI Franks. Odd this.

hey Lofman
Do you mind if I use some elements of your mod in one I am creating about a surviving Roman Empire? I mostly want shields, flags, and a few names.
Also, excellent work on the mod.

A small status update, I'm been working a little in the Tarim basin, little change except raised city sizes and other minor things, also planning to do some work regarding the EGT, however since EU3 is going to be bought tomorrow there is a distinct possibility that there will be a small time of very low activity regarding this scenario.

just re-downloaded 476 onto my new computer, and I just wanted to thank you again for this scenario :)

Hi!
I recently downloaded this scenario and i really like it. Trying to survive with Western Roman Empire, which is quite hard because of lacking leaders.
Well i don't know if i should ask it from here, but as it it this mod I'll give it a try.
At first i tried kingdom of Franks, but didn't liked anymore after the separation after Clovis death. But what i noticed is that as i was playing with franks, i had Clovis as general, but now as WRE I don't know how to put Julius Nepos (i putted him on the throne) to ahead of army. Is it even possible?
Or how could i hire any other generals to lead armies?
I'm haven't played Europa Universalis II very long and don't know it. In EU3 it was possible to hire them, but i don't know how to do it in EU2.
Thanks for the info.
