This policy is everywhere, freedom is only on paper despite all the big words. Just check out reddit as the best example. It's like some forums and boards automatically removing "bad" words, so people have to get creative to get their message across.
So what kind of automated function to you think stops the posting of "from 2023" in a new thread, but not from the same poster in another thread?

Rather more likely that they did indeed hit the "max letters" barrier, just that it was hit so perfectly that just removing 9 letters got them back under the limit..

maybe, it's indeed a very strange situation. After all, it's 2024 and modern equipment to have max letters barrier, don't you think?

I just don't think there's any max barrier or ever has been one.
I at least don't remember one even from the vBul times.

Hello Devs! If somebody had an pitch for a game (with a Pitch+GDD+TDD), where could they post it? Can they post it? Are there any methods or platforms for doing so? Thank you!

Choose your questions wisely, as they will dictate your fate."

Hey Devs, (Hello to the publishers as well)

I was hoping if someone can suggest which Laptop version of the CPU might be better suited for Paradox games ?

I mostly play HOI4. But occasionally do dabble with Stellaris or Ck.

I won’t hold you to it but would greatly appreciate suggestions. Especially considering you guys know more about the game and the game engine

I’m currently having a tough time picking between a i7 13650HX and a R7 7840HS for a new Laptop (I gotta stick to a laptop for mobility)

I’ve seen that i7 does better on some benchmark tests but I don’t know how much it’ll translate to in game performance

I would very much want to reduce the late game crawl and maybe want to keep future games in mind but I would appreciate suggestions even if there are things you guys can comment about.

So if you were in my shoes which of the two CPUs would you pick?

I mean I know there are probably better ones but keeping a reasonable budget

These two the best options I could find
I7 13650HX vs R7 7840HS

Note: The other specs are 16Gb ddr5, 3050rtx and 512 ssd. The prices are nearly identical with the i7 being just $20 more expensive coz of some Amazon offers.

I don’t really play too many other games on pc and not heavy into video editing or stuff either.

The closest anyone has come to answering this recently is this post:

Thanks. That post did give some interesting insights although I don’t think I got the answer I was looking for

Still as confused as ever between the two, at this rate I’m gonna end up having to flip a coin
Not sure if anyone needs it but I did also get some helpful advice from some fellow armchair dictators (and liberators) in another thread which I had posted

Post in thread 'Suggestions for a Laptop System Spec'

Three months after that Johan has upgraded his recommendation to 32GB.

'd not go with less than 32gb for anything these days anyway.

(this is me as a player of games)

I upgraded from 8 to 32gb a year ago.. my "older" gaming pc (autumn 2020, about 1K€) at home is a AMD Ryzen 3 3100 4-Core Processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, that now has 32GB ram. So kind of similar I guess.

Just checked Media Markt, and discovered you get much better pc's for below 1K these days.

Now, I can't comment on the requirements we will have when the game is released.. but I have always had my principle of never spending over 1,000€ on a gaming pc, and I want them to last 4-5 years.

I'd say if V3 and CK3 run fines on your PC it should be good to go.

However, if you plan to buy a PC now, I'd personally not skimp on memory, the difference between 16gb and 32gb is like 25€-50€, and thats a HUGE impact for the next 4-5 years.

Please consider slightly more timely cross-announcement next time.

Or no cross-announcement of this kind at all.

It's very motivating to bump onto news that decently looking game has been released a month ago - but I've missed launch party AND early supporter bonus.

In newsfeed of a project which is not being developer for four years.

Not if I'm being picky... just curious.
Steam don't show News for games which weren't ran by player for a certain time. Not anymore, at least.
So the expected impact of that announcement post is not obvious to me.

Looking for any information - at all - on what's next for Empire of Sin - specifically related to the Expansion Pass. I know it's been 4 years since you sold us that pass. Just curious about what the content will look like when it comes out.

Not sure if its been asked yet but why are console commands never available on actual consoles? Like have the players push L1+L2+R1+R2 for 3 seconds to bring it up shouldnt be to difficult

Not the same console meant in those two words. The former refers to terminals.
Anyway, it is a good point you raise.

I do not work for paradox interactive. That post was a link to some info I found on the subject.
