Looks like a typical space colonist standing in front of a modern pillar on a new planet :)
Also the haircut kind of reminds me of bones from Star Trek...

Oh I am so hyped and looking forward to thursday!

Victoria replacement game with slaves confirmed.

Okay, that's a toughie. To the Classical Antiquity/Rome-ish crowd, would you say that there were a lot of prominent dark-skinned people during the time period?
Yes. Not everybody in the classic era was hung up on racism... In fact, "dark skinned people" were dominant in...you guessed it... North Africa, where Rome had a "good sized" chunk of its empire.

Not north of Sahara, and not with that hairstyle. Egyptians and berbers were hamitic caucasians, the chartagians semitic ones imigrated from Phoenicia in todays Lebanon/Palestine.

What if it's fallout styled post-apocalypse? That would explain the computer/hologram appearence on the portrait. The background looks like earth, and if thats a pillar there could be afuture post-apocalyptic roman/greek society. They would elect their leaders, and technology is important to survive. Terrain is important, because you have to find a good and defendable place with enough resources to sustain your group of survivors. There will be no stabbing of pigs, because they are hunted with guns. 3&7 I have no idea, maybe a nuclear war happened in 3/7/2073 between 3 and 7 in the morning.

Or this is just an another troll hint to confuse us

Feels very space-like. Very nice to see some kinds of characters represented in the game.

That picture says nothing to me. It can be space, but it also can be Rome. That man can be son of african slave girl and her roman master. I think his hairstyle can be modern but it also can be roman. I can only conclude that there will be character portraits in the game and I like that.

Shaved hair isnt really that new of an idea... Roman Legionaries often shaved their hair to keep people like the gauls from trying to grab their hair... and Roman slaves also commonly shaved their hair, too.

It isn't Rome.
