I don't know if anyone else added the Austro-HungarianLeaders.csv dummy to the <HOI>\db\leaders\. If you get a mass of DB mismatches, the solution is to add a dummy spr.csv to TGW\db\leaders. The ids were clashing.
 
A million bugs for me !
I can only log into the actually game 1 out of 2 go's.
All Critical errors pop up when able to load it up.
UK and France don't have any techs (except UK has a couple of Electronic techs that's all !).
I can't change the difficulties before I load up a game without it crashing when it starts loading.
Fraance got defeated after a couple of weeks !
There are no victory points.
Belguim joined the Triple Alliance.
The only thing which was not very bad with UK was that it had alot of ships (around 223) and could easily defeat the Germans.

All of these are bugs I am sure. Please Help ! '

I hope we will have a fixed version today! I did all what was recommended in this thread, but now, i cant even start a game (what was possible before with db errors).
As the games still ran, i had several major bugs: the one with much to cheap techs (i never researched sth. like conscription, must researched be from the beginning with ger), then of course the bug with the much to strong germans (your "extra") and the worst - defeated event for France and UK fires at 4.January, and even the Dow of them against Sanusia.

I hope for a fixed version !! :))
But take your time and keep the good work up... !!
 
Ok I did all the fixes mentionned by Gwalcmai and Johan.
I did handsoff with Costa Rica.

Good:
1) The games loads fine without the DB problems.
2) It doesn't crash anymore at final scores screen.

Bad:
1) Germany still overruns everyone. (yep I removed the upgrade things but not the tech, which ones to remove and which ones to keep?)
2) France still surrenders. Luxemburg and Belgium also surrender, but by reading db\events\defeat.txt these events seems linked.

About 2). I tried to tweak the defeat trigger event and the problems seems to comes from these lines:

Commenting this out and the defeat event doesn't fire.
Maybe the problem comes from the fact that France starts with not enough supplies and 10 manpower only, so dissent rises up very fast and manpower never reach 411. Also maybe starting the war with Sanusia France gets a big dissent hit, this would explain why the trigger fires.

But then again Germany overruns everyone anyway (because of the tech).

Ok, to fix Germany (again), find the file [...]/db/tech/rocketry_tech.txt and open it. On application 7001 you'll find four lines saying:

Remove those four lines.

Also, open [...]/scenarios/1914/germany.inc again. Find the line techapps and remove all numbers between the brackets.

This should fix the problem for good.

1) A-H Leader files
2) Database mismatches


Also, I started a new game as France, and immediately jumped right to 1935? User error?

Ok some news.
Handsoff Costa Rica as usual, and disabling the French defeat trigger.
Did the fixes about Germany.

Good:
1) No more ubergermantruppen. Removing techs solved the problem.

Bad:
1) 8 May 1915 midnight the game freeze. It just doesn't move and stays at mightnight. (I have the saved game zipped).


Some Notes and Odd stuff from 2 handsoff:

Before war:
1) Russia send some exp force to France in Jan/Feb 14.

2) (Fra Rus AI) France, Russia moves a big stack of div (>25) around with apparently no aim.

War:
1) Switzerland grant access to France as soon as war starts.

2) (French AI) Too much French troops on beaches and not on front (> 30 div total) even when German close. They just stay there.

3) (German AI) Germany too few divs on Belgian border. West front concentrate on French and German borders. No Schlieffen.

4) Japan 1915 puppet China via event, leave the entente but is still at war with the alliance.

5) Greece 1915 granted Ottoman Empire military access(!!). Then joined Entente via event. In another test Greece joined Alliance.

That jump sounds like lack of the no time limit patch. Did you run it? (Had you succeeded in running TGW previously?)

On another note, it's definitely not healthy for France to start with zero'd stockpiles. The IC takes days to be available, and it's hard to set up your economy like that.

Yes- I was able to run with Austria-

I am at a new PC (office) Is it safe to run a fresh install? I can playtest a bit more today if so, or shall I wait for a pending fix?
 
I get when i start critical error data dismatch . That is promblem and another promblem is that when i try build a plane it crashs to windows .

Apparently my shady fix to that problem didn't make it in. Bascially if you do not have the tech to build the level one recon plane (or any plane for that matter), but try to build one the game will crash.

We really need to use my Aerospace industry tech to bypass this CTD. (See heavier-than-air tech field descriptions in tech thread.)

Some things I noted right off, we need to give every country a stockpile of supplies and goods.

Tech descriptions need to be inserted for several of the fields, along with some missing bonuses.

I understand the Kaiser was intent on building a fleet, but why is it sucking up 60IC's. That seems a bit excessive.
 
OH is also forgot the missing VP's, which I believe someone already mentioned. There is a huge list of possible VP allocation (compiled by me) in the VP thread.

And it would be nice if someone would put up the immediate changes needed either in a new thread, or make available the corrected files for download.
 
bugs

I have been waiting for ages for this mod, and having downloaded it as soon as it came out (2AM GMT!!!) I am v impressed.

However, the VP thing ruins its credibility. In my first test game, by 1915 Germany had annexed France, Russia, China, and Tibet. Most of the ministers dont show, for A-H (no generals) or Sweden. Surely this is just something left out initially that can be downloaded separately.
 
More bugs

If the 'France is defeated' event triggers, shouldnt Britain and Russia fight on?
Also, the war debt is overly harsh? (Was the treaty of versailles 19billion pounds?) Also, such treaties would not be so harsh after a 'mere' year of war, especially not comprimable to the revenge treaties at versailles.
 
A small, or not a small thing.

The war with Sanusia is almost impossible to complete.

9 infastructure in the province, and the provinces around it.

Perhaps, a solution could be by either changing the infastructure (so that the war can be completed, and troops can move through it), or, as a more permanent fix, by doing the following..

Removing Sanusia and adding events (to Italy) concerning dissent rises (or drops) and manpower usage due to (Conflict in Sanusia)


Edit- Also, May I request that we get another stickied thread, for "Bugs and Bug fixes" that way we can see what bugs there are, and if there are solutions or fixes for them.

=), leaving this area to people finding bugs.
