Changes to Playing Previous Versions of PDS Titles

@AndrewT Steam just forgot my beta keys for PDX games, i was wondering if this was a steam issue or had to do with PDX.
I was still able to use the beta keys on the PDX Account page so i've no idea what exactly happened.

This might also be my fault as my PC crashed. I was wondering if these "beta" keys are saved locally or on the actual steam account (cloud).

I do not know where it is stored that you've used those keys, I am sorry.

I'm not quite clear, do you now have a problem accessing older versions of those games? Or you are okay and just asking out of curiosity?

You can see the older versions in the betas tab now, but can't choose them somehow? Is that what's happening?
 
Hi,

I started a campaign with a few mods at version 1.28.1 a while ago.
After the update to 1.28.2 it still worked but since 1.28.3 came out it crashes whenever a new month begins.

Is there a way to go back to 1.28.1 / 1.28.2?
When I enter the Code for older versions it only shows 1.4.1 - 1.27.2.

The original post says versions from 1.27.2 onward would not be password protected but they dont even show with password..

Normally sub versions aren't made available, only the final version on each patch level.
 
I wanted to try a certain Crusader Kings 2 version because I'm nostalgic about it and don't really like some of the DLC mechanics. However, I'm not seeing this very early version of the game in the list.

No Betas are available earlier than patch 1.111 and never have been.

Only the last update of each major version is kept, so 2.1.6 is there but no other 2.1.x version.
 
Wait, so this is only about playing on Steam, back as you'd select Beta Versions and swap to an older version? I thought it was about associating the games I have owned here on the forums. How is that done again, and why do I only have Stellaris, EUIV, HOI4 and CKII on my Paradox account when I actually own far far more Paradox's games?

Synch Owned Items again (step 2+3), assuming you don't just have.
If you just have done so, the snyching can take some time, sometimes a day or so. So i'd recommend to just wait.
If you have any questions left regarding that, ask them there.

Not really, I don't know, I went to the "Games" area which was, until a while ago, where showed all my owned games on my Paradox account, and I saw I only had some with passwords very strange, and a link that followed to *this* thread. All I wanted was make sure all my games are up to date with the Paradox account association! ;P

Well, i can only assume you followed the "Read more" link inside "Access Earlier Versions" after the "Use the below passwords to unlock earlier versions of your games" sentence.
What did you expect then ?

The "Game" area is bugged, as far as i know...and more or less irrelevant.
Sometimes it simply needs a bit of time to synch correctly though.
Look at the Owned Items area for icons. That matters...and isn't bugged.
Again though, just wait or synch Owned Items again and look there for the icons of the games and DLCs.

If you still want to ask a moderator about it, i recommend to start a thread in the FORUM HELP subforum or above linked connect+synch thread.

Yep I understand that, you helped a lot, I found and managed it already. And yeah I had followed the Access Earlier thinking that old games had been removed from displaying and if I wanted to display I had to use the passwords, lol.

My accounts are linked; however, it is not recognizing I own Imperator; therefore, I cannot get the beta access key in the "access previous version" tab.
