still doesnt work
Converter expect to see a directory with "binaries/ck3.exe" inside. I assume you have a binaries folder there and then there's some files inside it? Make a screenshot and show me. Like so:

nope doesnt work
I'll ELI5.
1. Have a file named ck3.exe in the binaries folder. Doesn't matter what's inside that file.
2. Put path
E:\totally not illegal games\Crusader.Kings.III\Crusader Kings III
as the CK3 install directory.

i moved the game and other stuff to the file and made the directory to \binaries, then to \crusader kings lll
didnt work
I didn't say to move anything. I said copy.

Have a file named ck3.exe inside binaries directory of your install:

Then put the path of the install directory into the converter:

I really can't explain this in any simpler terms.

I am not sure what happened, I am running off the Cainite version of the converter and I am playing the Xbox Game Pass version of ck3 and it is the newest update

This is my final game map if that helps at all, any help would be welcome

Gamepass install prevents you, the user, from opening/viewing files in its install folders. Thus, the converter which runs under your credentials, cannot open those files either.
Without access to install folder we can't convert.

Reactions:
If anyone who is on gamepass wants, I am willing to run your conversion for you. Caveats: I only have free time tomorrow (Oct 12th) and if I get swamped with an avalanche of them then I'm probably gonna flake on it and I don't want to fuss with mods so make sure your save doesn't use any (or at least none that will affect the conversion). Post your save and what options you want toggled where (see spoiler pic). No promises on results, obviously.

Look in mappings for:
Code:
    link = { ck3 = 8417 eu4 = 1210 }    # Gidaya -> Dawaro

If that mapping is there, upload your save to the release thread and I'll take a look, but whoever owns the county of gidaya will be the owner of that province.
Here is my ck3 save, a copy of the converter log (file directories redacted), and a screenshot of my province_mappings.

To be clear, its a simple fix to just edit the outputted province file manually. So, I'm not expecting any sort of turnaround on this, I'm simply supplying this so that in can help determine what the root cause is in due time. Hope its helpful.

Right. In your 1.0.3 save there is no Gidaya. Thus it never maps to Dawaro. We don't actually support anything but the latest versions of both ck3 and eu4.

Oh it very much exists.

But just to do my due diligence, I updated CK3 to 1.12, resaved it as a new file, converted that, and got:

So, yeah, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Again, I just manually went in and fixed the mod file for myself so its not a major concern for me. I'm just not sure if the problem is really on my end or if we are overlooking something else. Here's the new updated save file if you want to take a poke around in that.

Thanks again.

No, there is no d_gidaya/c_gidaya in the save itself. It was an 1.0.2 save that didn't have that title which they added in the new patch. If you start a new game you'll see it converts normally.

Im trying to alter the conversion but i left the country cores i dont want on the provinces
if i delete the tags from the files will it fix it?
What cores, what provinces, what files?
