hmm, I still get the k_guiyi error but the mod always finishes converting and copying, but it doesn't show up in my eu4 folder, idk why?
I get the same error. However, the mod shows up in the mod directory and works fine (default settings). With shattered empires on (keep kingdoms), the converter fails to convert the save. If I define the empires manually - the converter works fine.

How do you correctly add new cultures into the converter configurables?
Open cultures_map in configurables folder and add cultures to appropriate links. Do not add new links without defining new cultures in blankmod folder.

Because you haven't added it to your playset.

Yeah, I figured that out and I played through it. However, in my world catholicism diesd of in favor of Cathar, and it broke the eges system in eu4, so its only ever been in the age of discovery
It will swap to absolutism in 1594.

CK3ToEU4, 0.2Baltic
Just In Time Release

Hot on the heels of both the Adamite release and the CK3 1.1 update that followed the next day, we have managed to sync the converter to updated province mappings as well as shove in a significant amount of hotfixes. This version should hold water long enough for us to dive deeper into the game balance and other expansions.

Hotfixes
  • 1.1 province mappings
  • Fixed religions icons from overwriting themselves when adding custom icons
  • Fixed converter attempting to shatter empires that didn't actually exist
  • Fixed broken savegames claiming titles were defacto lieges of nonexistent empires
  • Fixed a missing doctrine we forgot to add to dynamic religions
  • Fixed (not really an error) converter crashing when trying to convert a 1.0 save against 1.1 installation.
  • Fixed erroneous warning when exporting that one special flag.
  • Fixed reformation age not starting in a world without catholicism (it will start in 1594 at the latest, in time for absolutism).
Expansions
  • Added gnostic, fetishist and other cults
  • Related events and triggers have been updated.
  • Reordered culture groups so their colors in-game match vanilla.

Aside for this we did a fair bit of internal stress-testing and fixing against various broken incoming savegames and interesting scenarios they make. At least crash errors should be informative enough so fixing further errors will be easier.

The windows_development_build supersedes this release and is built whenever a feature is added, dynamically. You can get it here.

It didn't do that though?
Thanx, we fixed this for the Baltic build. You can just copy over ages.txt from its blankmod folder and overwrite the ones in your running game.

When converting my savegame the converter gives an error message "Clay for k_guiyi has no title definition" at 20% and stops. Is there any way I can fix this?

Yes. Use baltic build. See a few posts above, we haven't updated first post yet.

I can't specify a "correct" location for the converter since I am playing the game from Xbox Pass.

There is literally like no .exe's in this folder. Any ideas to fix?

Why are you looking for the converter's exe inside ck3 install folder? It's where you unpacked the converter, inside CK3toEU4 folder:

No, thats not what I meant. When the converter asks for the CK3 install folder, I cant choose a valid one to specify since it is not from steam but from xbox pass. So whatever folder I choose the converter doesnt accept. (see linked photos above)

You should pick the main one, where you see "game" and "binaries" folders inside. If there isn't a ck3.exe inside the binaries folder, screenshot its contents and I'll patch the converter.

EDIT: Also, a screenshot or log of the error would be helpful.
