Choosing binaries as the game folder?Ok, so this is not in fact converter nor fronter error. Run vc_redist64.exe in converter's folder and retry.

No, choosing the install folder, one above it, one ending in lots of junk.Choosing binaries as the game folder?
Ok, I assume I'll need to restart for vcredist to install properly. But I can't now due to other reasons so I will wait for it now. Thanks for helping, will inform if it works or not.No, choosing the install folder, one above it, one ending in lots of junk.
If it does not work, don't start the frontend, go to ck3toeu4 subfolder and run converter directly. Then upload the log.txt here, from that directory (not the main converter directory). We have two logs - one external and one internal, and I want to see the second one.Ok, I assume I'll need to restart for vcredist to install properly. Ahah, now we are getting somewhere. This is what you do. Make a new CK3 directory in your user folder. Then take that entire install and copy it over. Then run the converter against the copy where it has access to read stuff it needs. It fixed that issue, but now there is another problem. Even though I launch the converter with admin mode, since the game folder is probably considered "root" by the system; it doesnt grant access to the converter.

Then your issue becomes clear. Converter can't access that folder since you, the user running it, cannot either. I can't solve that. You need to copy it away as admin, is safe mode or something. It doesnt let me copy it. It probably recognizes the files as "core files".
Welp, thanks anyway I guess. Probably stuck to this fate until I can buy it from steam. Then your issue becomes clear. Converter can't access that folder since you, the user running it, cannot either. I can't solve that. You need to copy it away as admin, is safe mode or something.
Upload save and log.txt. 4% is awfully early, before we even start loading the game. Did you unpack entire converter in a new directory?I keep getting the error message "invalid string position" at 4% and I dont know what that means. I've run convertors before, but that's new on me.
Please test and report any bugs/glitches.
Delete whatever converter you have, download the latest Cainite build and try with that.its just in a folder on the desktop. Is that an issue?
Their authors have not approached us and requested support.Any plans for support for select popular mods, like city of wonders or imperial government? I understand if not.
Ah, so that's how that works.Their authors have not approached us and requested support.
I fully agree on whatever you say. I know nothing about cultures and regions and I'm willing to accept any advice how to improve stuff. Unfortunately we temporarily lost the teammember who was in charge of data files like this and are short-handed right now. If you can take existing culture_map.txt and fix these cultures, I'd throw them into the next update. It's really trivial - every eu4 culture comes from X other cultures, generally or in a specific region. It's all just text. For cultures, there are a few things that seem odd to say the least. The Pomeranians become Germanic Pomeranians instead of Slavic Pomeranians, which feels wrong. Polabians are absorbed into Polish culture which also seems wrong, as they should have their own culture. I'm also curious as to why there are so many Karelian provinces in the northern Russian territories... Seems, again, a bit odd.
It would also be really interesting if it would be possible to add further balkanization options for culture in the future. For example, what if Spain was Italianized, or Italy was fully berber-ized. The possibilities are endless
Otherwise, yea. GREAT job on the converter so far, looks absolutely awesome![]()
