It's not an issue with the converter as much as the borked save, result of not fully compatible imperator mod. However I'd like to fix converter dying, and maybe I can salvage your save. Please upload both the imperator mod (and its .mod file - zip them together), your save and shatter_empires.txt you edited.
Yeah, my main problem is that certain empires such as Germania and Hispania don't shatter.

I'm assuming that I should upload the log.txt and fronter_configuration.txt from the folder where the converter is located. I don't see any other relevant .txts and there is no file created by the converter, or at least I can't see it.

The first picture shows the successful conversion process note at the bottom and the view of the existing mods folder ONLY visible when selecting a new path from within the converter application.

The second one shows the inside of my mods folder. Unfortunately, there are some missing items that should be there.

I don't know if it will allow me to upload the log from the Converter's folder - there's an error saying the file "appears to be empty". Which it is.

Am I missing something? Is there a different log or configuration file I should send? Thank you very much for the time and effort in making the converter and helping newbies like me.
I'm still unsure where's the issue or what's the issue you're having. When you press Browse button it wants you to select a folder, not a file. That's why it's not displaying files. On third screenshot there's clearly Converted_Barcelona.mod + the exported folder. Why not just fire it up and play?

Ha. Sorry, I should have explained. That was from a converted ck2 file. The ck3 game that I'm trying to export is named "Emperor Garrett VII 1444 05 10", where the converted Barcelona mod, from 1445, is from the ck2 game.

So I had a ck2 export, got ck 3 and played through, now I'm trying to port that game, save file named above, but it doesn't appear. The converter believes it has made the file - as shown by our ability to see it in the paths select screen.

However, in the actual /mod folder where my actual mods are, the converted ck3 game isn't there. The entries are either from the Steam workshop or my own beginner attempts at making a mod.

So - the issue is that the converter isn't exporting a mod file. Or any file. But it really believes that it is.

I also had a very similar problem. With Hispania and Germania, they won't shatter either

e_hispania isn't a thing in CK3, it's e_spain. Ditto for e_germania which was changed to e_germany.

This is beyond our capability to support. If the converter claims it made a mod, it did. If it could not, it would throw errors. If it claims to have copied the files - again it did, somewhere, where you told it to. Whether you have an antivirus interfering or soemthing else is going on, I really don't know. I suspect it's copying stuff to one place and you're using another folder as your documents folder. In any case, we cannot test OS functions like file creation or copying. They either work or they don't and windows will quite plainly say "can't do that" if we indeed cannot - and the converter then throws red warnings.

Try with e_germany, e_spain etc.

Edit: BTW, I tried converting with both your shatter_empires (which lists nonexistent titles) and with correct e_germany and e_spain and converter did not crash. Hmm.

Working as intended. Your Europe must be a wasteland. Alter the weights in configurables/dev_weights.txt so it starts with more development.

Hi. I modified the conditions of the spawning of renaissance and it spawned in a Bosnia/Serbia ish province. Good enough. Thanks for answering. Just one question, how do you make Europe more developed during CK3? Except for my realm of course. Anyway, thanks for the converter, my first time using and it and it's so much better than ck2-eu4 that I almost cried. You guys are doing God's work.

I'm not really sure. How do you force people to build stuff? Longer games I suppose, so playing for 400 years gives them more advances, more cash and such to invest in their land. Also, always alter the dev_weights.txt so it matches something you want to see when converting. No two games are alike and we cannot run by a single set of rules.

Thanx for the praise, appreciate it! Also, for CK2toEU4, use our converter, link in my signature.

Thank you for your time and attempts to help.

I tried to convert my CK3 campaign to EU4 but the conversion failed. Please help me find out what is wrong with my save!

Too much is wrong with your save to begin explaining. Imperator mod you used is not fully compatible with CK3toEU4, unfortunately. However, we have altered the converter some time ago to chew through these errors and do its best, but you're using a month old version of the converter. Delete it and redownload it from the first post of this thread, and retry.

I'm having an issue where custom religions with new icons from ck3 break the religion icons in eu4. Saves where I haven't made a custom religion have the icons working fine.
