Hey just had a small (possible) bug to report. Converted a save from ck3 and noticed that Frisia is colonising with Flemish (They don't have this culture in any province), Castille with Swabian, and Portugal with Norweigan. I thought it could be expelled minorities but they don't even have these cultures. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds off. Tag into them and see what's their primary culture and what's going on. If still confused, upload the save + the mod, however this doesn't sound like something related to conversion.

I don't know if this question has been answered before but I was wondering exactly how to make a custom hre with the converter, I want to know if it's possible for the hre to be islamic since I started off as the islamic clans in southern italy and conquered all of italy and germany.

What does it mean by define in i_am_hre.txt I can find that file anywhere, do I have to create it myself, if so waht do I have to put in it?
It's in configurables folder. put inside the codename of the empire you want to shatter and turn into HRE.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to convert my save file and got an error, hopefully someone will be able to help. I'm attaching the log.txt. Thanks in advance.
Upload your save here please.

Here it is, thank you for your help.
I tried replicating your issue both with current ck3/eu4 and your older versions of ck3/eu4 and cannot reproduce the error in either. I assume some files (landed titles, specifically) in your ck3 installation are broken. My suggestion is to update to a newer build (current is 1.4.4) and retry.

Hello, I want to first off say that I really love the converters that you guys make and have done many mega campaigns thanks to you guys. I was wondering how I can rename a custom religion after having converting the save file.

That's very simple. Names are located in the mod's localization folder. Look into "replace/converted_religions_l_english.yml" for example.

Hello, I'd like to misuse the converter slightly to convert my "More Bookmarks+" campaign.
Could You, please, tell me, where are the province mappings, so I could add entries for the mod-specific baronies and counties?

For any other converter I'd tell you to grab provinceMapper and load the province mappings from inside the converter and relink whatever you wish, or do it manually even.
CK3 is special because we don't map baronies at all, we map counties (due to a difference in resolution). We take all baronies from a county, name the county with the lowest ID of all baronies within, and link that to EU4's province.
And to do that using our provinceMapper tool, requires running a special program (mapDegrader) that repaints the entire map and produces alternative definitions.csv etc etc.
In any case, you can still do this manually, but I fear the differences between maps may be significant and impossible to handle via hand.

Thank You for your answer. To my best knowledge we're talking about ca 20 additional counties, so it should be possible by hand.
Where can I get the software You've mentioned and does it have at least a readMe?

If it's only 20 counties I *strongly* suggest doing it by hand. go to landed titles of the mod, see what's changed, and make a list - for every county mark the barony with the lowest ID. then in province-mappings.txt find the relevant links and remap from now obsolete counties to the new ones.

As I said, tools are called mapdegrader and provincemapper, you can google them both and they do have readmes. However unless you know what you're doing (with some guidance) you might not get far.

Hey, my mod isn't working. When I start the game, it gets to loading and then crashes. I've tried to switch it back to default settings, but it doesn't work with the default or my customized settings. I don't have any errors log, just the regular one.

There is nothing wrong with the conversion:

Now, you seem like a bright fellow so I'll be straight with you. Actual errors with converters are exceedingly rare these days, one in 20 user reports is something actionable, the rest are caused by user confusion or broken - quite often pirated - game installations. People don't realize this but those installations (from what we've seen, and we've seen a lot) often have broken or missing crucial files and other issues.

Now, of all the EU4 versions you have 1.31.0, which is so bad it caused Leviathan to drop to 6% on Steam, the worst reviewed product on Steam in all time. I suggest the subscription service which will fix this problem and give you access to all the DLCs.
