I had selected the mod, but my version was indeed 1.05.1.
I updated it to 1.05.2 as you suggested, so my launcher screen looked like yours.
The game still only offered me the EoD szenarios (Armageddon, 1936-1944 and others).
When I restarted the game, the launcher said: Current version of the game: 1.05.1 ...
I will deinstall the Steam version, update to 1.05.2, install EoDAIP, and try again later.
I will update you guys once i have done it this evening.

Make sure that you have all EODAIP files installed properly in that folder, Try to redownload the mod (sometimes you can get CRC errors) and put these files like this inside DH mod folder:

Sounds like when he extracted the mod, it created another folder. In other words, his EODAIP mod, is within another folder named EODAIP. I know this happens whenever Armageddon is seen as an option.

In other words he has this: DH/Mods/EODAIP/EODAIP>and then you see all the mod files

Instead it should just be: DH/Mods/EODAIP > which opens the all the mod files

This is why I always extract a mod to my desktop so I can inspect it first.

Thank you guys very much for your time and help!
After I redownloaded and installed everything, I actually had a look into the mods/EODAIP file:
There was only a config and a .zip-file. I don't know why, but as I extracted the EODAIP file it just created another zip file in the EODAIP folder.
After I extracted this one, I finally had all the files Inquerion showed.
But the problem Pasha mentioned was also there: Two EODAIP folders ...
I deleted one of those and now the startscreen looks like EOD should, and the only campaign available is 1933.
I hope I can now begin a new round of world domination later.

The word on "the street" was that the HOI-community was a good and helpful one, and you lived up to your reputation!
Many thanks again, and if I will fail gloriously once I'm brave enough to start a campaign with Germany, I will not hesitate to come ask for some tips ;-)

I've uploaded a few changes I've made a month ago or so. I wanted to wait w/ them until I actually have the legendary Sweden changes that I was asked about a year ago or so (or at least it feels like that), but it looks like I'll be busy enough for a while to not be able to write much new stuff.

I also decided to write a few more bugs in the "known issues" section that I think are just a general DH bugs not explicitly related to my mod. Mostly so that people know that they exist, and that there are some workarounds (like restarting the game for slowdowns)
As always, please let me know if any more issues pop up, or if you have any suggestions. In the future I would be interested in adding extra content for France, Communist China, Sweden and Turkey.

I tweaked some difficulty settings in the hope that the edge difficulties will be decisively nontrivial for experienced Players to beat (as the opposite side), as well re-balanced the resource economy more or less back to where it was in vanilla (where it's possible to be missing energy/metal/rare resources to the point where it's slowing down your industry - there was a huge inflation of resources previously)
I think Rare Materials are still in an awkward spot where there's just too much of them in the world, which hurts countries like Turkey and Yugoslavia that don't have anything else going for them - to that end I've nerfed some events that gave free Rare Materials.
Known current bugs: (including unmodded DH bugs)

  • SPR may generate a trade deal with its day/hour saved as -52/-51
  • Transport Planes with loaded Paratroopers may idle for an indefinite amount of time
  • Paratroopers airlifted to air fields may instantly request the Transport to pick them back up and get killed as a result
  • Game slows down if you reload multiple times without restarting the executable
  • Game rarely crashes after releasing a country

  • (FRA) France fronts rewritten, bad province IDs corrected
  • (ENG) England now briefly attempts to log strike Germans in Belgium with high loss tolerance (historical)
  • (GER) If CZE joins Axis, CZE now cedes Sudetenland cores.

  • (Script) Changed various instances of AI cheating with industral_modifier = total to ic modifier instead (so that AIs which are expected to struggle with cash don’t get an unexpectedly large income instead)
  • (Script) Germany now gets increased total industrial efficiency as AI on Very Strong Axis
  • (Misc, .inc) Nerf starting industry back down to DH custom resource production modifiers for ENG, USA, FRA, GER, ITA
  • (Revolts.txt) Add ITA, U55 and RSI as potential creator of Arabic State,
  • (Revolts.txt) ITA now requires 2 Min + 3 Extra provinces to create rather than 1+1, so that Allies can’t create it just from 1 island

The feeling is really interesting, when you are England successfully conquering Japan and then they decide to become puppets for America, who do nothing but carry the train around. Fine ! As long as I can take command of their army to support the upcoming campaign of conquest of the Soviet Union there is no problem @@

I've just started a game to experience all your changes to the AI/scrips. Since I am quite curious but a very slow player I also wanted to experience the changes Hirz made with his EoD 2.5. So I tried to combine both versions and have done it in the most primitive way: Hoping that Hirz had mostly changed the event files and you mostly the ai-files, I copied together both versions by giving each newer file preference over the older one. While doing so I realized that quite some more files were changed (eg policy_effects.csv) but continued while hoping that there would be not much overlap.

Today I've realized that the smart way would had been, especially considering my complete lack of any experience with modding DH, to ask you how you would do such a thing or what you would recommend how to do such a thing as combining 2.5 with your AI-enhanced version. And what would be your assessment of how horrible my approach was or what all I probably broke?
 
I've changed almost every single category of files since I've started working on this a few years ago - I would expect mashing this together with EoD 2.5 to not work very well. At the same time I haven't been documenting this from day 1, so I wouldn't really be able to help much with what's worth porting or not

An edit of the ability to combine the AI military components of the major powers to make it more reasonable based on my subjective opinion:
- AI will combine infantry with at least one artillery brigade can add an engineer brigade or special forces, (better combined with tanks, armored vehicles, which are quite expensive ...) The mechanized, motorized and armored divisions will be combined with self-propelled artillery or engineer. AI will also focus production on CV and CA ships, ignoring the BB, BC ships that are gradually outdated as in history.
- The AI of Britain, Germany, Japan, Italy, and the Soviet Union will focus on building nuclear weapons as fast as the United States, (I hate the idea of nuclear bombing as if it were their own prerogative).

Don't worry.
While writing down my first notes for feedback I realized that my primitive merge of both versions without much thinking made it, of course(!), near impossible or at least extremely stressful to decide where from that change or behaviour comes. O well... on the bright side: So far everything is working smoothly and I am having fun.
 
Hi, really liking the mod so far. Having operation pike as a practical route is great fun.

I have noticed one small bug though. Whenever I or the AI destoy an enemy unit there is no pop up. I have checked the message settings and I have them set correctly ,so I am not sure what the problem is. All over post battle figures also display correctly.

Regardless still a great mod and keep up the good work.

Sorry but I would have no idea why that is lol. I don't think I've changed message settings globally?

Thanks for responding, I dont have this issue with DH full so it must be something with EODAIP. I know its only a minor thing but it is very annoying for me as half the fun of encirclements is seeing how much you destroyed . Would you be able to check quickly to see if the message appears for you? Then at least I can work out if its something on my end.

Also, I have noticed that the Italians dont seem to built any new ships whilst the Germans and Japanese do. Is this by design?

If you can point me at what could be changing message settings modside I'll take a look, but AFAIK I only change buttons (pause to Space)

AI production is kind of wonky, I'm testing some changes that'd make it more consistent (specifically stuff like ITA actually getting new ships or JAP actually getting units more consistently) but they will take a while. Right now I'm telling AI what % chance it should have to build certain units but the values are all over the place and don't necessarily always work with the limited production any particular country may have. There's a separate setting that instead has AI build up to % of certain units but it feels really buggy w/ military scores (another parameter the AI uses to limit production) - when I tested it, GER would get some ~200 planes which was pretty taxing on performance as one could imagine
