More stuff from Civilization modders (looks quite decent):

The artist is Bakuel, the game is IV. That's always the best in the series, right? :D
All his units are both very historic and of superb quality.
Btw, he has released many hundreds of units (probably close to 1000), it's worth checking it out.

This is his SEAsian thread where these units are referenced, among many more:
https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/armies-of-asia.542839/

And this is his Indian unit collection, just to have one of his another threads too:
(pictures are under the separate links)

Those are some nice characters, just a shame visiting these forum threads when they've aged and the thorough reference gathering they've done links to now defunct sources. Thus, images being lost.

All of those are still available AFAIK. Check the links for the unit packs for further pictures.
And actually the creator is active, some new units are in the works, to be released sometime soon.

Heh, the post with the broken links you're referring to is mine. The links got mangled last year during forum migration, but now I've fixed those.

Considering the new stuff seen in the devclash, mostly related to orthodoxy and islam, we might finally see some Eastern European or Middle Eastern units to fill the gaps, maybe even vanilla models rework :O

There was new stuff in the dev clash? Do you have any pictures of a time-stamp?

This thread needs an update about unit packs included in 1.20 and 1.22.
I don't think there are any renders yet for 1.22, but this thread does indeed need updated

If you guys want to comb through and find the unit renders in the after battle reports, here are some vids with them:

4 days until realese and we haven't seen them. #Frustration :(

Edit: Well, I've sneaked some from YouTube

They're really nice, but i really don't think making these unit models for such petty states like Russian minors it's a good idea... I would prefer standard regional (Russia, Balkans, Malayan-Austronesian area, Arab nations...) unit revamps (like it happened with Western Europe), and focusing the unique models only for the big ones, like Lithuania (which already is in the DLC), for example.

Hungary still doesn't have unit models even after getting its own loadingscreen and patch...

All in due time.

Even petty states deserves them, more flavor if you play them OR against them (people forget the latter sometimes), or even as vassals/marches. Makes them more attractive to play as too.
